Ash and Misty
Misty nodded, mouthing to Ash to get the butterscotch cone. Then she turned back to the man. "Stan never confirmed or denied it, but it's rumored he lost his astral. Either way, he retired from battling. He became an astral researcher, and Daylin was crowned champion. He went undefeated for nearly twenty years, until, well, this." She teared up for a second, but quickly wiped them away with the back of her hand. "I never caught your name. Mine's Misty, and the boy I came in with is Ash."
At that moment Ash arrived at the table, precariously balancing two trays, one on each hand. He laid them down onto the table, and then slid in beside Misty. "Geez, a guy can't even introduce himself." He pulled two burgers from a bag, handing one to Misty and one to Dagen. "Sorry if I didn't get you what you wanted, I'm not as good at lip reading as Myst." With the apology out of the way, he passed him a large cup of Coca Cola and a container of fries. "If you don't want it, I can get you something else."
Misty, meanwhile, sighed. "Ash, I said Butterscotch cone, not burger and cola." Sometimes, he made the stupidest mistake.
Ash went red for a second, and went to stand up. "Sorry, I'm not good at it Myst! I don't have you weird lip reading super power!" He looked at Dagen. "Sorry, I'll go get you one if you want."
Midou
Hearing his own name being called to the sync station vexed Midou quite a bit. Being in a fight he wouldn't be able to watch anyone else fight and plan his bets. But since the fight was against Salvador in the tilted treetops of all places it wouldn't last too long. Midou directed his partner to go watch the other matches and tell him about the astrals who when he finished then reluctantly walked to the orange sync station where Salvador was already waiting. Standing on the stage across from Salvador Midou spoke callously saying.
I really don't care how this match goes I plan on letting my astral do as he please. So let’s try and end this quickly shall we.
Midou held up his right hand revealing his astral marking and sync band. Readying his sync band to link up with his astral, Midou looked at Salvador waiting for him to ready himself.
"Wait a second, I know you. You're the guy that tried to How the heck did you find this place, and why are you here?"
Nilakanta
Nilakanta noticed a bright blue liquid was flowing out of the tank. She wasn't sure what kind of stuff it was but that was a worry for later. Then she saw her large enemy pointing at her. 'Fire or Ice... Ice seems unlikely, he just wants to incinerate me, so he will throw fire...' Her back felt numb, the paralysation was spreading slowly to the rest of her body. This is the last thing she would be able to dodge. Then the electro bolt charged towards her. 'What? Electric?' She attempted to tumble sideways to dodge her legs catching the blow, leaving her sitting on the ground. "Well. This sucks. But I refuse to go down quietly." Feeling the heat around her intensify with the fire getting closer she switched her machine gun to the zap cannon taking aim and firing her own bolt of electricity.
MegaMan
As soon his opponent joined the battle, MegaMan knew he would be quick. Gotta think quick. Suddenly, the claw trooper charged him from a nearby planet, turning into a swirling vortex of claws that would chew him up like a blender if he wasn't careful. MegaMan quickly took an assessment of his surroundings, and as soon as he had finished, the real battle started. Tricky, but it's all I've got!
Tensing his muscles, he bent down and prepared to strike, and when the moment came, MegaMan swung his Energy Sword, hoping to take advantage of the low gravity and trying to deflect the claws and send the two combatants in opposite directions.
Gix
Blades collided, and sparks flew in all directions. Gix was broken out of his spinning, and realized his claws were caught on the guys swords. They began to glow red hot from the energy. "Whoa, glad it was just these..." He couldn't imagine what would have become of him if he was off by a few inches. He broke free, and since his opponent was close enough, went for phase two. "Shield Buster!" Gix sent a fast strike towards his foes abdomen.
Soul
Soul was waiting for the next event to begin, again with his hoodie up to hide himself. It was such a sudden event too, probably nobody expected it. But, as evident by the same faces from the previous night, he could tell that everyone was excited for tonight as well. He noticed the blonde girl acting a little strange next to Nexalas and his friend from the warehouse. He saw a big brute of a man shaking his head to the Stranger. "So now he's in the know as well."
Looking around again he spotted Dagen, surprised that he was there so quickly after the previous incident. He walked over and held his hand up for a fist-bump, and wanted to ask, "Hey, how're you feeling from earlier?", but what actually came out of his mouth was, "Who're you looking to fight with now?
Dagen turned to the voice behind him, which happened to be Soul. "Oh, hey, what's up? Yeah, not really looking to fight anyone in particular so long as I compete. Last night was kind of a drag, but what can we do?"
Le GM Post: Underground Phase Two- Battle Among Dragons
A voice was heard out of nowhere.
"Welcome, fighters, to round one part two. Due to last night's.... interruption, we are forced to repeat yesterday, but with a different lineup, and a whole new map. Fighters, when your name is called, approach the stations, and commence battling.
Names were listed off, and fighters were heading to their places. Among them, these names stood out the most:
Ash vs Soul
Nexalas Vs Yume
Midou vs Misty
The Grey Fox vs Dagen
Sal vs Denis
Lai vs John
"As a consolation, all fighters will receive tilted treetops as an arena. Todays prize, $1000 and an entry into the qualifiers. Your battles will take place in Dragon's Lair. Beware of the beast within."
Dagen and Sal
Sal approached his station and was waiting for his foe.
Dagen jumped up with a smile. "Good luck Soul. We should meet up tomorrow, hang out a bit." He ran over to his station, and waited for his opponent.
Efialtes
Efialtes was unsure who this 'grey fox' person was, but everybody around the underground he would talk too, addressed him as that. He would have normally wrote it off as an elaborate ruse, but people he didn't even know were calling him that. When the grey fox's name was called, he did't go up at first, he just thought he had been mistaken for them earlier, until someone nudged him and pointed up to the synch station. He eventually went up the station, not saying a word. This day just kept getting weirder...

Nexalas and Denis
Nexalas smiled as he saw the list, mildly interested in the fact that he just met his opponent, while Denis was a bit surprised that he was being called up so soon.
Why is my name on the list?
It's our turn, why else? Just relax and walk up there.
Denis was hesitant, but he nodded and made his way through the newly formed crowd and to the station where his opponent waited. He pulled down his right sleeve, revealing his astral's mark and held out his arm.
Ready when you are.
Kokoshi
He narrowly avoided the bolt as he slid and then ran towards his opponent, his fist overflowing with aura. He made a motion as if he was about to punch, but he then smiled and jumped into the air, his jump boosted by aura.
Power Jump.... Star Kick!
Kokoshi's foot overflowed with aura energy and he fell at high speed toward his opponent, hoping the attack would connect.
Kokoshi
Kokoshi was about to sprint and punch his opponent, but he noticed something odd... was he cringing in pain? Not only that but his opponent seemed to be trying to tell him something... He was about to ask what was wrong, but suddenly the dragon spewed fire balls at the both of them. Kokoshi made a defensive motion to cover his face, but the fire ball that was heading his direction seemingly faded into steam as his opponents ice attack blocked the dragons attack. Kokoshi raised an eyebrow, and turned to his supposed opponent.
Uh... Thanks!
He was confused as to what to do as he stepped back from the dragon. His opponent seemed to be in pain and he almost forgot the dragon could go after him as well. But his opponent, instead of taking a victory, protected him. However, before he could question what was going on much more he felt a searing pain in his left arm as he carelessly backed away towards a lava pit as it spewed fire. He bellowed in pain and immediately ran for cover, examining the burn on his arm and feeling every bit of the pain, unlike before...
Then he realized his opponent was in danger as well, and nearly knocked himself out with a slap with his good arm. He ran to his opponent's aid, he had no idea what he just did to him actually hurt. This normally wouldn't bother him, but considering he was just saved from a ball of fire, he felt like a complete moron.
