Pokémon Roleplay / [RP] Being a pokemon in Sinnoh
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:19:38 AM »
Choose your pokemon's first form, and survive in your habitat!

You will play as a pokemon. To play this rp, you must be a first form pokemon, but leveling up and evolving is optional. You will start in the Egg Realm, which is where you hatch, and then you will move on to your correct habitat. You may visit other habitats, but you must keep mainly to your own habitat. Groups of pokemon may be formed in a single habitat with friends, but you may live solo. Your rp ends when you are fully evolved, have established a sturdy base, and retire from normal travel. City is for pokemon that are mainly kept as pets. Mountain is for the rock/steel/ground/flying pokemon. Lake is for water/ice pokemon. Ancient Tower is for dragon/psychic/dark pokemon. Forest is for the rest of the pokemon types and species not listed in the former habitats. The plot is in Sinnoh, but the other pokemon are allowed in the region. The plot is based in a time when pokemon and human's lived together with pokeball's to capture them. If you are a City pokemon, you may have an owner you live with, or you may be a stray pokemon. Power Station is for the mechanical pokemon that have a need for electricity or a steady source of power. Pokemon like Klink, Magnemite, and Porygon would go here to survive. (I know, sinnoh is new but it had a history too) Have fun, and enjoy the rp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Safur: Pansage (Pansage)
I was a pokemon that belonged to a mean trainer. He got me from an egg, but I was the wrong pokemon. He wanted the other pokemon, so he left me at level 1 in Sinnoh.
Moves: Only stratch.
Specialty:  group-battle.
Crazy Prophet: Klink (Klink)
Very well, I'm a klink, which whilst being non-gendered and clearly abiotic, I hatch from an egg into the mountain, being of the steel type. At the very bottom of the mountain is a cavern with a deep shaft winding towards the Earth's core. Ulta-conductive metals can be found within, electricity constantly feeding through its walls. Essentially, I require this electrical charge to survive, and only very sparingly may I venture outside, otherwise I would need to find a reliable source of energy. I start out with vice-grip. I look to the city as an obvious alternate to the dreary conditions I currently live in.
eddiedelta8: Shadow (Pichu)
I am pichu. When I hatched in the egg realm and am now in the world of sinnoh starting my journey to a wonderful life. I hatched at exactly 12:00 am (midnight I think I might have it mixed up) so I had to know something was different about me as I stepped into the forest I jumped when a blast of dark energy came out of my hand. I knew then I would be called by my new name; Shadow.
Ok normal pichu with a creepy grin it is.
Yukimenoko: Snorunt (Snorunt)
Moves:
- Powder Snow
- Leer
Yuki was born in a Snorunt tribe around the northern thundra places. Living in an abandoned shelter they gathered around. Yuki got banned out of the tribe because everyone kept claiming she was weak. Actually she never had a will to fight when it's unneeded. She has been running around a lot at the moment, struggling for her survival in the world.
Darkfire97: Cyndaquil (Cyndaquil)
Moves: Leer and Tackle.
Meowth: Porygon (Porygon)
Moves: Conversation, Conversation 2, Tackle and Sharpen
name: ponge
pokémon: Absol
moves: - Bite
           -Quick attack
Name: Crozza159
Pokemon: Shinx (Shinx)
Moveset: Tackle, Leer, Shock Wave
History (where hatched): A Luxray once guarded the power station, each day she would go outside to make sure no one entered, each night, she would sleep close to her precious egg. One day, she got into a battle whilst protecting the power station, she didn't stand a chance and was captured. The gentle warmth of the power station was enough to keep the egg alive. A few weeks later, the pokemon was ready and shinx emerged from his egg.
Name: PokemonMasterEthan
Pokemon: Mudkip (Mudkip)
Moves: Scratch, and Tackle
History: A Swampert stayed with it's egg until it hatched. The Swampert left after that, so the Mudkip had to learn by itself.
Name: Aqua999Amazing
Pokemon: Driply (squirtle)
I am Driply. I was hatched in a river in the egg realm so i became a very great swimmer. i was captured by a mean trainer so one day when he was asleep, i escaped and lived my life as a wild Squirtle in Sinnoh. I...am Driply
Moves: Tackle
Specialty: Hiding
I think I can't remember all of the players if they are with more than 10, so you can't join anymore.
JerryEDIT: Pending
JerryEDIT2: Cleaned up a little more. Profile skeleton is not a must, but keep in mind that you first need to get the RP approved to begin the RP. I'll let it for now, and will delete the posts non related to the actual RP in some time. Approved.
Come on, I think you shouldn't even be able to get all the fossils, but you are suggesting you could get plenty of the same fossil.
Like you have to chose between Kabuto, Omanyte and Tirtouga.
You chose either Anorith or Lileep.
Maybe either Archen or Aerodactyl.
And Shieldon or Cranidos.
It would be much more fun to see trainers with there favorite fossils, in stead of all fossils.
Why is part one harder then part 2?
I mean the level of the Graveler is no problem, while the level of the zubat is.
It's an oke quest and original, but not really my style
He has no pokemon is a better solution, if his pokemon are too weak it means you have to beat strong pokemon, not really a beginners quest.
Why are you resigning?
I don't mind taking over the RP, but I have no control over the first message.
Safur headed for Frendle City, but he found a move tutor and with his shards he gave Omanyte ice-beam, losing leer.
He battled a trainer.
Go Omanyte
Go skiploom
Skiploom used bullet seed, a weak one (but still Omanyte has only half its health left)
Omanyte used Ice beam and Skiploom fainted.
The trainer send out Ponyta.
Ponyta used stomp (40 percent left).
Omanyte flinched.
Ponyta used stomp again (30 percent left).
Omanyte used surf and Ponyta faints.
I travelled further after I got little money from the trainer.
Since it is a whole bag of fossils, I think you should be able to chose helix fossil (Omanyte) and dome fossil (Kabuto) too. It would be a chose which wate-rock fossil you want.
i have an idea! so if we dont want to be unfair because the grunts could steal pokemon, they could only steal npcs (not all of them) after defeating them and it would be unfair if they kept it right?then instead of keeping them they could give them to their bosses for instance.
what do u think about that.
this idea came from ur objectie of stealing the eggs and giving to the boss/team(something).
But I still thinks grunts should be able to get pokemon from their bosses if they complete missions.
It wouldn't be fair either if trainers can get pokemon from missions and grunts can't. Maybe grunts are able to steal eggs and pokemon from the professors.
-Example of a Team Rocket Grunt quest-
-Objective 1-
Storm the pokemon lab on the opposite side of the map.
-Objective 2-
Find and steal the pokemon eggs being tested in the lab.
-Objective 3-
Return to the Rocket Executive with the eggs.
-Optional objective-
Defeat the lab scientists (low levelled pokemon)
-Reward(s)-
-$2000 pokedollars
-20 ranking points* + 10 ranking points if optional objective is completed.
*I just came up with a system that would suit a clanwars-style mini-game: The trainers and crims can advance in ranking by accumulating 'ranking points' awarded from doing quests. This means that while everyone starts out as a 'rookie' trainer or 'grunt', new rankings, all the way up to 'champion' (in want of a better name) and 'executive'. Quests should be mostly repeatable, as making hundreds of quests purely for this mode would restrict expansion in other areas of the game. Of course, there should be a time period that a player must wait before attempting the same quest again, like 3 hours or something, otherwise it would be a little silly. New quests should be unlocked with each new ranking, getting progressively more difficult and increasing their sheer scale. (might be a petty theft in the 'grunt' quests, but evolves into bomb-plots and seizing control of public buildings (like a radio broadcasting tower ;D ) A half-dozen or so quests would be good for each ranking, which I think would be around 5 or 6 in number for each faction...
What if you could also join 1 of the evil teams in the beginning and try to be a good grunt.
You can still try to beat all gyms and the elite four and the boss give you objectives like take out 2 weaker players and you will get money or this stolen pokemon. Then it would be fun for either site. You could both do quests, and the good guys have to battle the bad guys. It would be like this:
Trainer John54 battles Grunt Safur
I agree, this would be awesome, but it would mean completely different quests throughout the game (No little girl is going to give the same quest she gives to a trainer to a weird middle-aged man in a black jumpsuit). What I'm proposing now is that it's all internalised in one map (which may be expanded/added to later). Doing all this would take a lot of work, though I'm sure mappers would have some fun making the territories and bases.
AH...and while I did talk about factional bases a bit...I should elaborate a little...there would be safe-zones inside the bases, and opposing teams won't be able to enter. These should be kept as small as possible-they are just spawn points for where a trainer goes if beaten in battle. The rest of the bases are entirely free to explore by anyone, with one small tweak- invading players themselves cannot start a battle with members of the defending faction, but the defenders can start battles with the invaders. I thought this would be a good idea, but I can see how it won't work well in certain cases. The defenders should have some sort of advantage over invaders in their base; I mean its quite logical. Also, respawn points should be a decent distance away from major points of conflict, so they cannot simply rejoin battle too quickly. Perhaps a small temporary penalty could be incurred on defeated players? Like max HP or stats of entire team to 70% for 5-10 mins?
Wow...long post...but I hope that this would clear up most questions on the basic principles. Any feedback/questions are welcome.
But doing quests again is much more fun if you have to battle other players and like I battle John23 first and second Richard5, so it will be different every time, the clan wars are fun.
What if you have clans like:
Rocket (grunts)
Galactic (grunts)
Aqua (grunts)
Magma (grunts)
just trainers
Sorry for the not original names, but you can get grunt points and when they get level up, they get money, items and eventually pokemon, while trainers can do quests. So they don't really need quests but objectives for grunts.
That might be it... but he calls himself "sol" in RPs, so that might be something completely different.
I don't think he wants an egg of its RP-character, but it sounds fun anyway ::).
Good job!
Mr_Dark, is the city that big you can get lost and irritated in it because you can't get out?
I don't hope so.
