I thought it would be a neat idea if there was cooking in the game. Users would be able to create edible items that could have healing benefits, be valuable for certain quests, etc. You could use items made by your pokemon [Examples; Miltank could supply moomoo milk, female fish pokemon could provide caviar, grass types could provide herbs]. Users could also make meals / snacks out of berries and lava cookies found in the game. The more you practice cooking, the better you'd get at it, and the more foods you could make. Also, recipes could be incorporated into the game, allowing you to unlock certain foods you could make [Certain recipes could also require a certain cooking skill and multiple ingredients].
So, what do you think? Good idea, or too much work?

there's going to be potion making and other skills, potion making will be the healing one, take a look at the search ::)

When I typed in "cooking" and related words in the search nothing based on it showed up... So I didn't know a related idea was suggested. Partially my fault I guess?
Even so, the items could still be used for quests later on in the game.

Interesting idea which has crossed my mind a couple of times. Think we'll implement it somewhere along the line.

haha sweet, it could actually go along the lines of camping, like say you were on the way to towns badly damaged, you could rest and heal etc. health over so long, and eat for other various benefits along your journey XD

I love the cooking idea. It worked well in Harvest Moon. I can see you renting an apartment in one of the cities and purchasing a kitchen to cook in. The pokemart could perhaps double as a supermarket to pick up berries, vegetables, and other ingredients.

Awesome that would give many people another aspect in the game to take part in. Somehow there should be different aspects, like people would want to be trainers, breeders, collectors, whatever really but there should be something about training and breeding and all that to make it so if your goal is to be a breeder then there is something about breeding that takes time to do or work on only being a breeder. I do not know exactly what but it'll come if we keep our minds together on it lol.
