I haven't seen this thread and since most are closed.
Anywya, what is your favourite season int he pokemon Anime
Mine is Advanced, However second totally comes Diamond and Pearl
what is yours?

Season 1 ofc, I stopped watching it like half into Johto, since I though Ash was going to get better eventually but his pikachu is obviously still at a very low level since it keeps getting beat by really weak Pokemon... ._. I got annoyed.

Agreed! I never got how a Pikachu that should be like, unbeatable, got beat by level fives with noob trainers!

Lql, Not unbeatable, he did win against some strong Pokemon that he shouldn't of beaten...Lost to little level 5 Pokemon that he could of knocked out with one hit...=w=

at the end of every season ash changes his pikachu with a level 5 one.

enough of that myth already. What happens is, the writers feel having an OP character would ruin the show, and turn ash from knowing how to battle in a way, then turn him back like he is just starting. They should have taken a note from DBZ: Goku kept getting stronger each season, and eventually, he was strong enough to be revered as a god. The point is, it did not ruin the show, at all, people love seeing a kickass character.
I would have watched more of the anime if they made the pokemon at every region more or less on the same level as ash, and changed ash's name to red, and made him less annoying.

The only thing that I thought was very weird, is at the first season where Ash fights againsy Brock.
ANd normally, an electric type pokm cannot defeat and rock type like Geodude. However he defeats it with a thunder shock, and hurts a little the onix.
But n the game it just says, you can't use it.
That is th ehard thing from pokemon Yellow

Lql,*Sips on fine wine*=w= Well he only won because the sprinklers weakened Brock's Onix, and it was wet so Pikachu used Thundershock, but it doesn't work like that in the game.

Yeah or else Rain Dance would be overpowered, Kyogre revered as the ulimate destroyer of Ground types.
BUUUUUUT....
Let's say he inadvertantly activated the move Soak via the sprinklers, that'd make sense more or less.
My favorite season? Hmm...whichever was the season where Pikachu got hhs butt handed to him by a Magikarp. That thing was awesome

My favorite is either the first season or advanced battle. I dunno why I like advanced battle, I think it's the fact that Ash get's a kick arse Sceptile and the intro music. -W-
But here's what I hate about the later seasons of Pokemon.
1. Ash has been travelign for 10 years... why isnt he 20?
2. Ash seems to get stupider and weaker as the season progresses
3. THEY TOOK OFF MISTY! TMT

Mainly because Misty "owns" the gym now. They then took Brock out at the end of DP. They brought May back for one episode in DP. Oak and Ash's mom came back in BW, but only for the first two episodes. I'm still wondering what happened to Ash's mom. She's a Boss.

My favorite season would have to be the Johto Journeys because it has all of my favorite Pokemon in it.

Something i think would be a good thing to at least mention in the series:
Who is Ash's father, and where did he go/what happened to him?
In the episodes i've watched, they haven't mentioned him at all.

In the first ever episode they mention him, but never really anything else.

Let's hope it wasn't a sleeping Snorlax that rolled over on him....Well, that or his dad somehow became some awesome super ultra pokemon somehow

I hear a lot about Misty. hate it she is gone etc etc
I mean, Misty is there for many episodes, and many seasons. I actually think there should be new things. I do not mind that Brock is finally also gone. guess I get fans against me.
The only thing is, indeed stupid. In every first episode, he throws a pokebal without weaking it. And that pikachu should be at such a high lv, and he still loses from uh an very weak pokemon

My final turning point on the anime was the 5th region.
Snivy vs Pikachu,New Trainer vs Master "not really" Trainer
Guess who won.

Something that irritated me, in the season at the end of Diamond/Pearl (or Sinnoh) set Ash has to face some dark douche guy who has a team full of legendaries/pseudo-legend Pokemon. How fair is that?

That is the same, as you play online against other players. Lol,
and I thought it was pretty cool, Actually Ash did proof you can stand up against them without thinkingthat you are alreadt have lost

That is true, but today's standard's shoulda banned that guy from tournament play, seriously. We can't use them in-game in stuff that's tournament like (i.e. Battle Frontier)

Meh, Diamond and Pearl wasn't all that great. They did have some cool new pokemon though.

Then watch it again lol. I remember when I was little and saw pokemon for the first time, needless to say say, I had know idea what I was getting myself into, but the show just amazed me.

Ah, I think I get what you mean. Although, as you originally mentioned, I did like Diamond and Pearl, but then again, I kind of liked them all.

Hm... for me I'd have to say I liked the Pokemon Chronicles season/series the best. Nothing against the main story, but I've seen enough of Ash Ketchum to last me a life time. The Pokemon Chronicles gave me a nice change of pace and offered some side plot that wasn't all about Ash or directly related to him.

I don't remeber chronicles. Also anybody remember those specials that came with the movies? The only movie I know I have is 4ever. I might have 3 somewhere, but I don't think so. I know the one that came on it was Pikachu's Pikaboo.

Not exactly what I'm talking about. I mean like that when the movie comes out on DVD there's some kind of special that comes with it, like a bonus episode.
