Title: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 16, 2013, 08:06:53 PM
(http://imageshack.us/a/img203/1889/tdz9.png)

Welcome to The Organization, a guild that strives to be the best on PU, and to make you the best you can be. We accept people of all sorts of talent and abilities. Don't be afraid to ask to join, just post here with the request, and tell us a bit about yourself. Also, if you have a blog, please tell us so that we can link it on our front page! Logo made by 9Nexalas6.

Info:

The purpose of our guild is to gather specialists of all kind and of every nature to form the most powerful and dominate guild around. This guild is highly competitive by nature, and the high ranking members can challenge for one of the elite thirteen spots, known as The Order, who are among the highest ranking members of the guild and get special privileges. This guild is not only for battlers, though. If you are a fighter, an adventurer, a breeder, a writer, or anything else, you can feel free to join. If you have a goal, you have a reason to join. Not only will we help you achieve that goal, but we will help you surpass it. In turn, you will help us become a force to be reckoned with.

We may seek to be the best, but we do not look to be the best at being the worst. This guild does not tolerate trolling, bullying, or flaming of any kind. Failure to abide by this will result in permanent ban from the guild, and you may be put on ignore.

This guild is both competitive and not. Feel free to play the way you wish. You will not be restricted just because you aren’t a good battler. There’s something for everyone, and we are here to help you to become the best at what you do. This being said, there are of course spots for battlers, and this guild does thrive on competitions of all sorts.

Where to Find Us
Many members of the guild are bloggers, with the guild leader, Fenror, looking to go into a career of journalism. A link to each member's blog will be posted below.

The Order is composed of the thirteen most elite members of the guild. All of these spots except for the first two, which are reserved for the guild leader and assistant, are challengeable by those who achieve the rank of Master. Each number in the order has a special requirement for obtaining. More details on how to obtain each title will be revealed as the guild grows.

I'll put up more descriptive info on the specifics on the ranks later, but I think that you guys, our first members, will be able to climb it fairly quickly. The Apprentices are like the "trainees" on their way to becoming the best in the guild.

EDIT: I'm announcing the third and fourth spot on the order to give us something to discuss for now. Best battler and guild artist.

You're in, so first up on the to do list as a new guild is that we need to decide on a guild mascot. I'll take the best suggestions and do a tourney-style poll. Basically, it has to be a pokemon that best represents the guild, and it does NOT have to be a legendary. Since legendary pokemon are not obtainable in game from what I understand, that either gives us a reason not to choose a legendary, as it can make members who catch that pokemon feel more connected, or it gives us a reason to make it an unobtainable legendary. Regardless, choose pokemon that you feel best represents the guild. We could go for something powerful, menacing, dark, or just strong looking. Whatever you guys want, and go ahead and suggest more than one. Normally, this kind of thing would be handled by the order, but it is only comprised of two people at the moment, so everyone gets in on this. So, suggestions? Feel free to suggest as many as you want, just please don't go overboard.

I'll go ahead and start off with two Gen VI Pokemon, Noivern and Yveltal.

Noivern:

Yveltal:

Those are my initial suggestions. I will likely have more a little later. They can be any gen, not just VI. So, what ideas do you guys have? You don't need to comment on others suggestions right now, this is not necessarily the time for campaigning. We just need options.

I think it should be Zoroark, because it's badass and can take many shapes like it's guild members.

Eevee, as like the guilds members, it can become one thing, and be the best at that one thing. Example? Jolteon, one of the fastest pokemon.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 16, 2013, 10:39:52 PM
I'll add in a few more.
Ditto- much like eevee and zoroark, it can change into many different forms, much like the guild's members.
Slaking, Dragonite, and Tyranitar. They are among the non legendary pokemon with the highest base stats, and this guild aims to be one of the best, strongest guilds in PU.
Blaziken- Blaziken is a fighter to me, and will do what is necessary to win, much like some of those that I think this guild will attract.

I'd also like to add

Chandelure

Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: WhistfulSoul on June 16, 2013, 10:47:23 PM
I think I got a few suggestions.

First, I second Meowth's notion for Eevee.  I think Eevee would be a nice choice for the mascot. There are multiple evolutions, meaning multiple of the XIII, and each one of the top XIII of the guild could choose an evolution, (of course there aren't 13 yet, but there are some speculations as to what they could be). Eevee is the pokemon of multitude, and is the closest evolution line to having 13 different pokemon.

Next, I suggest Arceus. It literally has a different form for every type, (albeit it's only coloring, it still counts). Bisharp and Gallade are good representations of the dual weilding of Keyblades, (although not much else besides strength). The last idea I have is Unknown, as there are 28 of them, much diversity, and they can be combined to form different strengths, much like the guild members, (different combinations of members result in different battles).

Ok, so with 20 suggestions, the mascot voting will be done tournament style. Mewtwo was substituted for Mew, and Talonflame has been added so we can have an even number of pokemon.

Talonflame:

There are two side to a tournament bracket. I'll show the first side now, and the second side when we finish voting on the first. The match-ups are completely random.  Feel free to comment and talk about it here. Voting shouldn't take too long.

Pichu vs Noivern
Unnown vs Golurk
Dragonite vs Slaking
Bisharp vs Talonflame
Mewtwo vs Eevee

I had a poll up, but wait, I'll make it to include all of the matchups.

Hello, good sirs.

I would like to join your guild, for I've waited for such a guild as this.

Welcome to the guild! We're glad to have a new member! Did you vote on the poll Also, do you have Skype? We have a guild chat there as well.

EDIT: Ok, with the tie was decided by The Order.  We decided Noivern moves on. Next is the second half of the bracket.

Ditto vs Arceus
Yveltal vs Golduck
Regigias vs Chandelure
Gallade vs Blaziken
Tyranitar vs Zoroark

Poll will be up shortly.

Welcome to the guild, and have a nice stay.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 17, 2013, 12:02:45 AM
Well, that's ok. It is free, though, so if you get it, just let us know. No biggie. Alright, so for the next round of voting, we have 5 pokemon in each round. The pokemon that won by the biggest margin is Talonflame, so it gets a free move to the next round. Same goes for Yveltal.

So the rest of the matchups are:

Noivern vs Unnown
Dragonite vs Eevee
Bye: Talonflame

Ditto vs Regigigas
Gallade vs Zoroark
Bye: Yveltal

EDIT:
we are now moving into the semifinal round. This one will work a bit differently. Three pokemon will face each other, and you will get 4 votes total, which you spend two on each matchup. The two winners from each side will go on to the finals. Please remember that the winning pokemon from the finals will likely forever represent our guild, so it is best to choose wisely, as we are in fact a guild that represents many things, so keep those things in mind when voting.

1st Matchup:

Unown vs Eevee vs Talonflame

2nd Matchup:

Ditto vs Zoroark vs Yveltal

Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 17, 2013, 12:46:12 AM
Humen, don't get mad, none of mine made it into the finals either. Now everyone, and to answer Soul's question, basically, the winner from each three-way matchup will move on to the finals. Once 5 members of the guild have voted, then the guild's mascot will be known. 9Nexalas6 has offered to make the guild's logo/sig using the mascot, and so I am promoting him all the way up to Master rank. Should it come out nicely and we decide to use it, then he will take seat IV on The Order. So, the final voting for The Organization's mascot will be between Eevee and Zoroark.

Ok. I know you're all wondering what the mascot is, and so after discussing it with The Order, I have come to a decision. The guild mascot is...

Both Eevee and Zoroark.

Deeper on into this,  Zoroark specifically represents The Order, while Eevee represents the rest of the guild, which thanks to Nex, will be called The Foundation. So, go ahead and discuss. Nex is working on 3 signatures/logos for the guild now. So, thoughts?

Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 17, 2013, 02:35:37 AM
Well, you just need to do anything worthy of being promoted. Also, we'll come up with a better system later. Humen, you have to be Master rank to be able to challenge for a spot on The Order. Then I'll give you the details on exactly what to do.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: PkMn Trainer Black on June 17, 2013, 02:53:29 AM
I have a idea for the logo. You could have Zoroark using a powerful move(Focus Blast, Flamethrower, ect.) and have Eevee use Helping Hand. This can show what both sides of The Organization stand for.

I didn't sugget Night Daze from the bat because of two things that could complicate things. 1) In the game, it looks very close to Dark Pulse. 2) In both the movie and anime, it's a shockwave that would send Eevee flying.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on June 17, 2013, 02:56:21 AM
Nex is working on the logo, but maybe he can use this. Not sure what he has in mind, but good thinking. I like the idea.

EDIT: We need something to talk about, and not something guild related. Let's start off with your favorite pokemon? I've always loved Blaziken, and I also really like Glaceon.

Yup, looking forward to seeing them. I'll clear out the ranking system for now, and we'll develop it later. It will have to be completed before the release of the game for sure, though. Maybe next weekend we'll do it.

EDIT: Two more pics from Nex have been added to the front page. They look great as well, and it makes the guild look a little more official. There may be another surprise as well, no promises. Also, I know we don't have a lot of members set (and feel free to recruit your friends both on and off of PU), but sometime soon, maybe even this weekend or next week, we'll have a guild battle day, if you will. I'll come up with more details on that later, but it will take place on PO. I guess we can consider our first guild event. Thoughts?

With battle day sometime in the near future, and I would love you all to attend, make sure you have plenty of teams made on PU, even if you don't think they're all that great. We'll be switching teams around a lot, and this is a great opportunity to find what does and doesn't work well for you. We'll have tons of tournaments as well. Also, more details on the EXACT requirements for obtaining the best battler will be revealed at some point before battle day, so stay tuned for that, as that will be the first day you are able to try out for the position. Although many of you know a lot of the details, the specific rules have yet to be neatly laid out. Also, since the guild has been a little dull lately, is anyone up for a writing competition of sorts?

Ok, I do have something in mind. Details will come later tonight. Also, no, you may not become guild scribe. XD

EDIT: Ok, so the guild's first ever challenge. I want everyone participating to come up with an original idea for a book or a novel, which you don't need to share. Then, write the first chapter for that book. It never has to be a real book or novel or anything, so just write and introduction chapter for something. You can submit something you already have made, but please don't submit something already visible by the public. PM the submission to me. One submission is allowed per guild member. They'll be judged by the order (and some non-guild writers, to make it fair), and then the best two will be put on here for voting by the entire guild. If you guys want, I can make an official guild deviantart group or page, and the winners of all guild contests can be posted there. So, any thoughts? Questions?

Concerning this, my hope for battling anyone right now is practically gone, for I can't use PO on this computer.

However, concerning the "chapter" challenge, I've already have the meat of the whole story( if I decide to do more and publish it) in my head. I just have to get it on paper.

Not being able to get on PO is unfortunate, but I'm glad to see more interest in the Opening Chapter Challenge. Also, of everyone is ok with it, the deadline for that is Monday night, so just have your submission in to me by then. Battle day will be either next Wednesday or Friday most likely. Any preferences? I could move it up to this Sunday, if needed.

Yeah it was me lol. Truthfully, if Blades would have joined, though, he would have, without much of a doubt, been the guild's best battler. People would have had to challenge him for the title.

I hate to be mean, but Humen, there's no way you could beat Blades. At least not yet for sure. Battle Day, unless something changes, is next Friday, a week from today. Chapter One contest entries are due Monday night. Also, asking a question. Since most of us are gamers, what are your top 3 favorite games of all time, preferably in order?

Mine:

1. Kingdom Hearts II (PS2)
2. The Last of Us (PS3)
3. Skyrim (PS3)
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
2. Tales of Symphonia (PS2)
3. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (PS2/ XBOX 360)

3. Mass Effect series / Assassin's Creed series (PS3)

I only played Luigi's mansion a couple of times at my friend's house when I was younger. Never had a gamecube, always just a PS2, although I went to his house pretty often and played gamecube. All the systems I have are PS2, PS3, Pong, Intellivision, Gameboy Advance, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, DS Lite, 3DS. I think that's all of them.

Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization

Well, the 3DS purchase wasn't necessarily bad.

Also, we have a writing competition winner, and have decided to announce it today. The voting was kept fair and anonymous, and I have come out the winner. I'll post my entry below. Also, all competition winners will be added to the front page, along with Nex's new banner.

"Cyrus, get down from there. You've never jumped this far before."

Seventeen year-old Cyrus Rider, annoyed, stood with his arms crossed on the long roof of an old super mart, anxiously tapping his foot.

    "So?"

"What do you mean, 'so'? This is dangerous!" Cyrus' best friend, Reese, was trying desperately to prevent Cyrus from hurting himself. To Cyrus the stunt he was about to attempt was just another one of his parkour routines.

"Of course it's dangerous! All parkour is dangerous! I've done things far more dangerous than this before. Remember that time I climbed Gear Tower?"

"Yeah, I remember, you almost died."

"But I didn't." Gear Tower was the tallest building in the Sigma Sector, belonging to Sanctum’s number one manufacturing company, Gear Industries. Two years ago Cyrus had scaled the side of the building, nearly falling off a couple of times, but he did it nonetheless. Today, though, Cyrus was going to attempt jumping the gap between the old super mart he now stood on and the shut down car dealership next to it. They weren't sure exactly how far the distance was, but both Cyrus and Reese knew that it was farther than any jump he had done before.

"So can I go now?" Cyrus was clearly agitated by this point.

"No! You can't jump! What if a Protector catches you doing parkour?"

The Protectors were the general name of all the soldiers that worked for Shield, Sanctum's government.

"No Protector's going to catch me. All of the Protectors anywhere near here are at the castle preparing for the party tonight."

"You mean the banquet? And so what? There are still going to be Protectors on patrol."

"It's more like a party, I mean, have you seen the royalty around this place? Plus, if a Protector catches me, what are they going to do, arrest me? It isn't a big enough crime for them to do that. They'll probably just escort me back to the castle, which is where I would be going anyway."

"Well that's fine and all, but what is your uncle going to say?"

"Pffft, my uncle? He won't care. He never cares, and you know that. The Admin of the Sigma Sector doesn't have time for such things."

"But according to you he has time to drink and party?"

"Exactly. So are we done arguing yet?"

"Fine, go ahead, but don't blame me when you break every bone in your body."

"Whatever." Cyrus got in position to take off. He slowed is breathing. Began to focus, started to calm down, but not too calm, or else he wouldn’t make the jump for sure. He loosened his body, and launched himself forward. His feet pushed into the old, worn out roof, propelling him forward with great speed. His breathing began to increase; his heart thumping ever more persistently in his chest. Despite calming himself, the inevitable rush of adrenaline pushed Cyrus, urged him to run. Then he heard something.

"You, on the roof! Stop!" Cyrus hesitated at the command of the Protector. He tried to stop, slamming his heels into the roof, but his momentum carried him forward, forced him to keep going. Cyrus then fell off of the super mart's roof.

EDIT: Who read the story? What are your thoughts on it? Also, Battle Day, which was scheduled for tomorrow (Friday), is postponed. We'd like to maybe get a few more members first, or at the very least, ensure that a couple more members can attend.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: The-Blades-slave on June 27, 2013, 10:47:03 PM
My thoughts on it? I'll cut it short. You wrote it in RP format, but when you messaged this to me months ago, you told me it was a story. If it's a story, you're missing too much information. You can't just jump into a book your writing and rip out a random chapter and say: "Here, I'm going to submit this."

We have no idea what the characters look like, no idea what they are doing there, no idea about general anything other than one of them wants to pull a stunt, the other one doesn't want him to, and a cop catches them.

If a girl u know finds your key in the morning and dosent return it till the evening that's not very weird right?

Now if that girl suddenly woke u up in the morning even though she shouldn't have any way to enter my home as I locked all the doors should I be worried by this.

Sorry if anyone is displeased on how unrelated this is.

Well, Blades, the point of this was to submit a short rough draft of a first chapter of a story (which I'm not even carrying out). Thanks for the feedback, but I know what I did wrong I refuse to submit any of my newer, higher quality works, as I wish to keep them completely secret for the time being. This was not my best, but it was what I submitted.

And Humen, I have no clue what you're talking about.

Also, anyone hear anything interesting lately?

Nope. I used to like Harry Potter, but don't care for it as much anymore. My favorite movie series is The Dark Knight Trilogy.

I've also seen several new movies lately, with the most recent being Man of Steel and White House down. Man of Steel was decent, and White House Down was a lot better than I expected.

Because it isn't that big of a deal, really.

I'll keep the conversation moving, though. So, with the next generation of gaming coming around, with the WiiU, PS4, and Xbox ONE, are you getting any of them? What games are you most anticipating? We have a WiiU, and I plan on getting a PS4 as soon as possible. As for the games I'm anticipating, fairly in order, are Kingdom Hearts III, inFamous: Second Son, Super Smash Bros., The Division, Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, and The Crew.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: PkMn Trainer Black on July 03, 2013, 10:26:01 AM
The XboxOne has been getting a lot of negative comments, most notably that it is the second thing to Microsoft's downfall, the first being the most recent Microsoft laptops. That doesn't really concern me too much because I'm fine with my Black Edition 360.

For the PS4, I personally hope they gave more grip to the analog sticks on the controllers. Plus, there are some games I miss playing because they're exclusive to the console.

As for the WiiU, I'd be better off(locally) with the 3DS, since the new Smash Bros. game and X/Y are available for it. Furthermore, the controller for the WiiU doesn't look that appealing.

Overall, I pretty sure that this will cost over $600. So I don't see me with any of this being mine for the next 2 years.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on July 03, 2013, 05:55:16 PM
Well, as far as price goes:

Wii U Deluxe: $350
PS4: $400
Xbox ONE: $500

Ok, now this is just my PERSONAL opinion. I don't really like much about the Xbox ONE, simple as that. In several years, once there's a new model and a price drop, I may get one, but I don't know. The WiiU is a bit better than I expected, and the controller actually isn't bad at all. And then there's the PS4. I haven't found much that I don't like yet. And to answer your question about the controller, yes, I believe they did add a grip to the back. Personally, it is one of the best looking controllers I've ever seen.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: The-Blades-slave on July 03, 2013, 07:12:11 PM
WiiU. That's the only one I like. Xbox is retarded and PS4 is just trying too hard. But I'm a PC gamer anyways, so... Basically, my most recent dream console is years ahead of the consoles you all are talking about right now. Meowth can relate.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: Roloc on July 03, 2013, 07:57:19 PM
PS4 is just trying too hard.

Just.....What?

I fail to see this. Sony takes risks, and they usually pay off. Blu-Ray for just one example, and disc's for a second. Sony has deep pockets to throw in new technologies into their system. Back when PS1 and N64 came out, nintendo was to scared to switch to disc but sony took the risk and it payed off, a lot of people preferred disc to cartridge.

1.) Roloc, I've always had a personal dislike for anything Sony, just don't like the company. Only good thing they ever did in my opinion was Kingdom Hearts. So basically, I'm biased in saying they are trying to hard. I honestly know poop about their new product anyways, and won't ever look into buying it. :/

2.) Fenror, you can't say I'm horribly wrong considering it's an opinion. I could say Xbox One is the best, and you can't say I'm wrong because it's in opinion. I honestly do think PC gaming is best, easier, and much more convenient to me. (And I do realize you said in your opinion I'm wrong, but rejecting you saying I'm wrong with my opinion. Weird ass way for the win.)

But, I probably shouldn't even bother to argue when I'll abandon it anyways. I don't check on this site nearly enough anymore. ;_;

And then there's the PS4. I haven't found much that I don't like yet. And to answer your question about the controller, yes, I believe they did add a grip to the back. Personally, it is one of the best looking controllers I've ever seen.

Not the back of the controller, but the analog sticks. I've played all the consoles of PlayStation, with each having a different default controller. my personally favorite controller is out of them is the PS1 controller, because it had matte analog sticks that allowed more grip. Both the PS2 and PS3 had the same design( except the third controller's L2 and R2 were like triggers and it was wireless) but the analog sticks were not matte covered, causing me to lose grip at critical moments in games. As for the XBOX consoles, their controllers were on point, trenching the analog sticks and making them matte to create high amounts of grip. nontendo's home consoles varied somewhat, so I can't say much on them.

Of course, this is my opinion.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: GrizzlyEatsKids on July 05, 2013, 06:20:21 AM
Ok, keeping it simple, but Blades, I understand where you points and opinions come from, and while I don't personally use it much, PC is certainly not a bad platform for gaming. As for the analog sticks, Black, I don't remember a whole lot about them specifically off the top of my head, but I do know that they are different and should be easier to grip than from the past. Sorry, but that's all I know for sure off the top of my head on that matter.

EDIT: We are now having an official HeartGold/SoulSilver Guild Nuzlocke Challenge. There may be a reward of some sort (or not, idk yet) for anyone in the guild who completes it. The rules are in place until you defeat all 16 of the gym leaders, the Elite 4 and champion, and Red. If any of you have any suggestions for what the winners receive, post it here. Also, feel free to talk about your experience with the Nuzlocke here as well. Here's the rules:

-Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released or perma-boxed.
-The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pokémon they would like to catch.
-Players must also nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
-A black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC. When a game over occurs, you may instead release or perma-box all pokemon except your starter, but must start back at the first town, and you cannot fly until you reach the location that the game over occurred at.
-Starter Pokémon is based off your Trainer ID number. If the last number is 1-3 the player starts with a Grass type, 4-6 is Fire type, 7-9 is Water type, 0 is the player's choice.
-Escape ropes are not allowed.
-No Max Revives, Full Heals, Max Potions, or Rare Candies.
--Legendaries are exempt from the first encounter rule, however, once caught, they cannot be used in battle.
-Masterballs may only be used on legendaries.
-Rules not enforced until the player has Poké Balls and can catch Pokémon.
-First counter rule does not apply to "special encounters"or shiny pokemon.
-Use the same amount of Pokémon as the Gym Leader during a Gym battle.
-If the player has no Pokémon that can use a certain field move that is required to continue through any given point of the game, they may catch another Pokémon that can learn said field move. However, it cannot be used in battle for any reason, and must be released, permanently boxed, or migrated as soon as the player gets another Pokémon that can use said field move.
-Only one pokemon can be kept at a time from the bug catching tournament.
-If you participate in the pokeathlon and come in second, release one pokemon you used. If you come in third, release two of them. If you come in last, release all three of them, even if it's your starter. If you come in first, keep your pokemon and reap the benefits!
-Only one pokemon may be kept at a time from the Safari Zone.
-You may not use any form of a walkthrough to help you, except to check how many pokemon the gym leaders have.
-You may not use the Pokewalker.
-No trading.
-You may not use the Day Care.
-No repels of any kind can be used.
-You may not change the time of your system to change the time in game.

Please comment here if you are participating. Remember, you have to beat Red to win.

A picture of you receiving one of the starter pokemon from Professor Oak or Steven

All winners will be recognized under competition winners. My official estimate is that it could take anywhere between 80-100 hours to complete, but who knows? Upon defeating Red, you are to give me what pokemon survived the battle, as well as the amount of time spent playing the Nuzlocke.

Ok, so for everyone that doesn't know, WTP asked to join the guild. And yes, we have a Nuzlocke. Rules are about midway through page 9. Feel free to join in.

EDIT: Also, I promised that with a new member, I would reveal two new titles in the order. The first is Top Breeder. The second will be announced later.

Okay, I think I might join in on the Nuzelocke, simply because I am terrible at playing pokemon, so this might help me appreciate the game more .3.

It'd be great if you joined the Nuzlocke, WTP, and as for the top breeder, I'm unsure as to how I'll test for that yet, but you'll probably just have to breed some stuff in game or something. The next title is Guild Scribe.

The scribe will be responsible for keeping track of certain guild information, as well as running certain contests for the group. More specifically, writing contests. He or she will help judge future writing contests as well.

Oh hai pitt. If Fenror approves, welcome to the guild.

Also, going to drop something here:

Nexos' Impossibru Nuzlocke

1.Fainted Pokemon are dead, release them or perma-box them.
2.Can only catch the first Pokemon you see in every route.
3.Can only go into the grass to catch your first Pokemon, trainers are your only means of grinding and you cannot battle wild Pokemon, run away from wild Pokemon unless you mean to catch them.
4.Can only use normal potions and pokeballs in battle, and shops are banned
5.Can only catch six Pokemon
6.You can catch a shiney no matter how many Pokemon you have and the second rule does not apply to it.
7. Legendaries can be caught, but not used.

If anyone ever successfully finishes this nuzlocke I will owe them a full colored commission.

Welcome to the guild, pittmanvictor! Just please try to stay active!

Also, we are considering having a guild game tournament, of sorts. It would be over the course of several multiplayer games, but not everyone needs to all have the same games. Still working on the details, but would any of you at least be interested?

Well, i can put together a sampled list right now. As of now, you must at least have 3 of the games on here, but that may change. And of course, we take suggestions, but they must have competitive online multiplayer enabled. As a last note, if everyone is ok with it, non-guild members may be allowed to participate, unless you guys want guild only. That is not a definite yet, as first we need to see how mmany guild participants we have. Systems currently accepted are PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, Steam, 3DS, and Playstation Vita.

*Indicates that the game is free to download, so long as you have the system.

PS3

Assasin's Creed 3
Modation Racers
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Playstation Allstars Battle Royale
*Dust 514
Far Cry 3
The Last of Us
God of War Ascension
Fat Princess
*Uncharted 3 (Multiplayer)
LittleBig Planet 2
Mass Effect 3

Wii/WiiU

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Kart Wii

Xbox 360

Assasin's Creed 3
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Far Cry 3

Halo 4

Steam

*Team Fortress 2

3DS

Pokemon Black/White
Kid Icarus Uprising
Mario Tennis Open
Pokemon Black/White 2
Mario Kart 7

Playstation Vita

-This is just what came to mind immediately. Feel free to give other ideas and suggestions, and let me know if you are interested in joining. Also, you don't have to be good at video games, you just have to have them. This will be a competition, but its biggest focus is having fun and being able to play and do more with your friends on PU.

Ahahahah XD I'm gonna need to get some Pokemon B/W or wait until X/Y comes o-waitaminute....
Yeah, i should just stick with B/W

But I have SSBB (or, technically I do, but we'd have to plan tournaments ahead so I can find iiit....)
and then I have TF2 iiiish.... .3.

Yeah, I'm thinking of joining, simply because I need to XD
And, breeder testing sounds kinda hard o3o But then again, breeding things in-game makes sense. Maybe...something like breeding pokemon with certain abilities that can only be learned through breeding or something .3.

Ok, so, if you two are in the tournament, it currently includes:

Humen
Meowth

Also, DSi is accepted, and I'm adding Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, as Well as Mario Kart DS to the list.

I can join the competition, but I only have a few games. SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, TF2, Pokemon B/W (although, I can't connect to the internet using my 3DS with my outer). So, all in all, three games I can join in on.

Ok, updated the participant list:

Fenror
9Nexalas6
WhatThePumpkin
Humen
Meowth
Soul358

An invitation as been sent out to every guild. Also, if you have a friend that would like to participate but is not on the site, feel free to invite them. They don't have to be a member of the guild, just the site. Also, we are still taking suggestions for more games, and even an official name for the tournament.

So it seems that members outside of the guild aren't very interested in the tourney, but we still won't start for two weeks. Anyway, the rules are below:

1. You can play 3 different games a week in order to earn points. Unless you have my permission, you cannot play the same game multiple times a week for points.
2. You must play a game on the list in order to earn points.
3. You must play with at least one other member of the tournament in a match, and you must play online.
4. Before starting, you and the other player(s) competing in the tournament must discuss how the winner, along with second place, third place, etc., will be determined.
5. The results must be reported to me, along with the game played, mode played, the rules of placement, and who came in what place by EACH PARTICIPANT.
6. Based on how you placed in game, you will earn a number of points for the tournament leaderboard. The number of points give away is determined by the number of people playing. Scoring is subject to change before the tourney starts.
    -2 Players: 1st Place=4 points, 2nd Place=2 points
    -3 Players: 1st Place=5 points, 2nd Place=3 points, 3rd Place=1 point
    -4+ Players: 1st Place=6 Points, 2nd Place=4 Points, 3rd Place=2 points
7. If you are caught cheating, you will be kicked out of the tournament.
8. The tournament will take place over the course of a couple of months. It will not be active every week, so pay close attention to this thread to know which weeks you are allowed to compete on for points.

Rules may be added or modified until the start of the tournament. The leaderboard will be posted on the first post. I will remind you all, but the first week begins on Sunday, July 28, and will end on the following Saturday. We are still accepting new participants. Any questions?

I'll join. I would like to suggest a couple games as well.

Goldeneye Source (http://www.moddb.com/mods/goldeneye-source)

It counts as a steam game, and only requires Source SDK 2007, which is free. Also very fun to play.

Pokemon Generations (http://www.moddb.com/games/pokemon-generations)

A simple and fun Pokemon games, thought still in beta. Might actually prove to be an interesting play in the tourney. Also free.

Disregard. Really buggy.

Also, the Pokemon Universe Balance Server, since it is easily accessible, and  also very fun now that the list of pokes is done.

I checked out Goldeneye Source, and it fits, so is now accepted. PO is not quite a true video game, so will not be allowed, although at some point we will likely still have that battle day. as for Pokemon Generations, I had trouble downloading it earlier, but if anyone wants to play it, I'll actually allow it.

Updated Participant List:

Fenror
9Nexalas6
WhatThePumpkin
Humen
Meowth
Soul358
Cortex J.

I played generation and it doesn't seem buggy to me although for the tournament i'm not sure how online would do. It seems to work on a LAN server but for an actual online server you have to download another program i think.

The main problem for me is getting the UI to work. it does for about 5 minutes, and I catch a pidgey or a bulbasaur, but then I can't toggle catch. \ou might need to do some research on how to host a server.

Not to mention it has some serious balance issues. Rattata out classes all pokemon currently in that game. Spam quick attack till your out of PP then back off and let it regen then spam quick attack again. Easy win.
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: Humen on July 19, 2013, 02:11:44 AM
rattata can only really spam quick attack if u let him, every pokemon has a ranged attack so they can keep rattata at a distance  and charmander, pigey and squirtle have ember, gust and bubble which stay on the field especially gust to protect them from quick attack.

And cortex what do you mean by the UI and toggle catch?
Title: Re: [GUILD] The Organization
Post by: Roloc on July 19, 2013, 02:15:34 AM
Thats if you let them, Humen. Trust me, no pokemon currently available on that game is better then rattata. It can close the gap fast with quick attacks and can keep you locked down with a spam of quick attacks. Not to mention, you would have to be pretty stupid to run into bubble, ember on the feild. I mean seriously, just walk away from them or go around. Easy.

Hey guys. I know I haven't posted much since I've joined The Organization, and I don't have much reason for that. But I came up with an idea that would make me more active.

Since I'm banned from downloading PO, I can't really battle or watch anyone of your battles, and no one here messes with Pokemon Showdown that much, if at all, either. So what if I posted a link to my battles on Showdown? This way, I'll be able to actually feel like I'm here for a reason, and I'll be able to receive constructive criticism from you guys.

So let me know what you think. Is this a good idea, or should I make this another topic?

Only posting as moderator. My suggestion is you make a separate topic for your videos, and open it up so everyone can post theirs, as well as share tips and such. I play on showdown as well, so you can find me if you want. And PM me about that whole banned from PO. I would like to know if it's PO in general, or PU PO.

My career path has made a slight change to journalism, and I know that a few other guild members have blogs of their own. So, send me a link to your blog or leave it here, and I'll add it on the first page under a new Where to Find Us section. If you have any other ideas on how we can support blogs and writing, please let me know here.

For everyone that is wondering; the story is that yesterday over Skype, beaver made a joke over piracy and Fenror took it a bit too seriously. I talked with both Fenror and Humen, and found out there was a miss-communication and that Humen was just joking. Now that's not why I'm mad, it's easy to take Humen the wrong way. The reason I'm mad is that Fenror didn't converse with the rest of the order before making any drastic decisions.

Beaver was obviously joking at the top, which then turned into an argument about the derpy legal system and then led to Fenror immediately removing Humen(Who is Beaver on Skype for some reason).

After thinking about it overnight, I decided to try and go back to the knights. Fenror you can be a cool guy sometimes, but other times your and ignorant serious machine who cant take a joke. There are other reasons, but I don't want to mention them.

Oh and don't worry, you can still keep the stuff I drawn for the guild. Just don't expect me to draw anything else.

I don't want someone in the guild who doesn't want to be here.

Also, Humen's temporary ban has been lifted, and I have re-admitted him to the guild. It was a warning, and a show that you need to be careful about the things you speak about, joking or not.

EDIT: A new title in the order shall be revealed today, and while I do have some in mind, I'll let you guys decide instead, kind of like how we did the mascot voting. Anyone can submit one title here on the forums, along with a description of what it is or does. Later today, we will have a poll to decide on what thee new title will be. Also, either today or tomorrow, I will reveal the conditions needed to try out for top battler and top breeder.

You know, when I joined this guild, I was hoping we could make something great. Have another guild. Not just two. Well, these plans were destroyed yesterday when I found out fenror not only kicked humen without a good reason, he didn't ask nex or I.

Anyways, you could probably see this coming by my post, but u resign from my position in the order, and from the guild. Sorry, but fenror. You went too far.

Sorry to announce this, but for a number of reasons, I am leaving PU. Sorry, and some of you have been great. I'll keep in touch with a few of you still, but other than that, I'm gone.

Well that escalated quickly.

Honestly, all of this could have been avoided if everyone involved just dropped the issue and moved on. There is a little saying I like to say, " This is the internet." People will say and do as they please on the internet, and there isn't much anyone can do about it (except moderators). The best thing to do is not let it bother you and move on. It's not like you'll see that person in real life anyways, as the odds are unlikely. But, a hearty farewell to fenror. I very much enjoyed reading some of the things you wrote, as well as rp's you joined in.

Goodbye, Fernor. May the good memories of PU stay with you.

As for the guild, it's practically been terminated, right?

Not unless someone decides to claim the position as leader. Just request this thread locked and make a new thread as active guild leader. But that's if anyone still wants this guild to be around.

I told everyone who was in the Skype chat that I would take over. I will be starting a new guild, however, and a new thread. New name, new mascot, new thread, new everything, minus members. That is, assuming, that everyone already in this guild still wants to be in it.

Okay. On that note, I resign as a member of the Organization. I didn't think that the first guild I joined would be the one to burn the little tree and leave only a seed. This is why I feared joining any other previous, yet powerful, guilds. This, and my hand-me-down laptops suck. Sorry.

Cool, good luck to you on that. Can't wait to see your thread. :)
