The only thing i've ever hated about pokemon was that they never let you take a pokemon out of its pokeball unless you were battling. It took them over a DECADE!! to realize it was a simple math equation:
Pokemon+Always inside pokeball=Suckish!
Pokemon-Always inside pokeball=More appeal to younger ages!
Think about it. If nintendo had made pokemon walk around with you in previous games, this would have made large appeal to the younger kids with DS's. Seriously, every kid who lives around where I live has at LEAST a DS lite. Some have DSi's! Of pokemon had walked around before, these kids would have bought those games.
they did back in Yellow Version, but it wasnt that great =\

The pokemon with the highest Def. (Counting Legendarys)
Deoxys
Dexwin...Shuckle has the highest def. (Not counting legendary's) Dude...where'd you get your information? Actually, the non legendary with the highest defence stats is Shuckle >.> Jerry knows his Poke Info
well I got a Sableye with 281 def points and I got the info from a Pokemon Guide where the show all the maximun stats and Sableye was the highest one, not including legendaries, Shuckle has a high def I KNOW but still no match for Sableye Shuckle hp atk def sp att sp def speed Base Stats 127 55 253 55 253 51 Sableye 304 273 273 251 251 218 From my computer
I like to check the pokemon with the highest stats in particular area... HP is Blissey Attack is Deoxys Attack, (I don't bother about attack because there are many pokemon with high attack) Rampardos, Slaking Defense is Shuckle/Steelix Sp. Attack same as attack but Deoxys, if not Alakazam Sp Defense is Shuckle again, otherwise Regice Speed is Deoxys, if not, Ninjask/Electrode
I think slaking is the strongest non legendary pokemon the only thing that screws him is his laziness -_- All rights go to http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Stats - I love this site I used to use that then moved to serebii.net then i just started buying guides and stuff when they cut off my internet =\ Here are few berries for Luxio, hope he enjoys them Well, this Shuckle is not what a real shuckle is.
The maximum Def Stat a Shuckle can get is 614 *cough*. (Def boosting nature such as Lax, 252 EV in Def and 31 IV in Def) Exactly , Def Boosting nature, but I ment normal, without the use of EV's nutrients, etc... that how a normal schuckle looks like, but if trained well, he will reach the 600's but still he lacks speed and atk =\ ....

You can easily make Feraligatr into a tank.
I just find the fire starters are all mainly offensive, I'd like to see in Black and White a huge ass fire pig that serves as something other than just main offence.
Anyhow, the Sinnoh starters are still awful in my opinion.
I agree but only for chimchar and puplip, but Torterra is Grass|Ground and learns Earthquake and other ground moves witch defends him from fire pokemons and will destroy a steet type pokemon like Lucario.. for me only Torterra is usefull in the game

HA!! just to let you know Sableye has the highest Defence in the games (excluding the legendary) and he resist any type of damage

My Pearl/Platinum Lucario's moveset was: Aura Sphere, Psychic Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon
This pretty much took care of everything.
Also, a lot of Dragonite's moves are Dragon-type, but don't forget it can learn moves such as Fire Punch and Thunder Punch. If trained correctly, a Dragonite using Fire-Punch could rip apart a Lucario. It can also learn Earthquake, Brick Break, Focus Punch etc.
Pwnd.
I have no idea why I'm defending Dragonite... I still want my ditto.
Ditto used Transform! Ditto used Rollout!
Transformers references trololol.
Sableye will beat both your Lucario and Dragonite, he has no weakness and he has a high defense Recovery, Shadow Ball, Night Shade, Leer is all I Darkness has Shadow (female Sableye) Fake out, Recovery Night Shade, Faint Attack

LOL!
Also think of it this way...
Nearly all of Dragonites moves are Dragon which only does half to Lucario or it can use one of its seven ICe moves, which only do half, or one of its 5-6 Poisen, Rock or Bug moves.
Lucario can learn: Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Dragon Pulse or a lot of other Dragon Rock moves which super effect Dragonite.
So Ha.
Dont forget that Lucario is Steel|Fight and he can also learn psychic attack and only FIghting and Ground are supper effective, but Lucario knows moves to defend itself from does ground/fighting pokemons and almost all other atk's are normal effective... he pretty much owns any pokemon if trained well ... but not Sableye xD

HMs are needed as attacks for example Surf can hit both opponents, flash CUTS!! your opponents accuracy witch means your opponents pokemon(s) wont be able to hit you that much. HM are needed too in battle for some trainers like me, what about Salamence? when he evolves at lv 55 he learns Fly because its his dream and he learns it by nature too, not using HM as atk slots is worthless and will mess up some pokemons natures too. Think about it..
And the fly thing lets stick to normal that way we will have (NO OFFENCE) noobs around all the time in special places...
But I do like you mount Idea sounds awesome =D thats something I would Agree with but alot of pokemons are bigger than others wont that take up other peoples spaces? and or you can make it so people will phase through other player cuz imagine few noobs blocking a road >.>
It would really benefit everyone, if you would read a Majority of the posts, instead of the first and last.
The phasing Idea, Discussed, it wont be an issue
I did read everything, but by nature pokemons are allowed to learn 4 moves, having 4 for battle and 1 aside is like having 5.. but still if deciding weather to learn it inside battle or outside battle might be reasonable, but im sorry =[ ima true pokemon freak since i was 10 and I stick to the normal things

I always stayed with my Sceptile from Sapphire version and passed it on to Emerald then Diamond and Finally Platinum, now Im waiting for x-mas to get both HG and SS and pass on Sceptile, but I just don't know what will happen onced Black and White comes out =\ ...
anyway thing is I always stick with my starter no matter what.. but I also have some other pokemons i've keep since Sapphire and still have them like Irongross (Metagross).. and no I never leave either Scepty or Irongross in my box NEVER!! >.> although onced but it was only to immigrate it to Diamond >.<
