I don't believe they should constantly faint and you have the ability to catch them when they are fainted, but just have them run away when their hp reaches 0.. of course going along with the "Flee in extreme terror" that Quote suggested.

Maybe go along with what people have said above me, since there would be events for eggs, have the few eggs you find in the wild have a very low chance of actually hatching (in other words be empty shells, and of course I am talking about when the event is not in effect) so you can have a small chance to find an egg, and a very small chance for it to actually hatch for you.

once again going back to the original post, I believe this is a good idea to consider. not only to stabilize the economy as josh squash put it, but it could also bring in a feeling of the game really being different from other pokemon online games. Not saying that it isn't already the way it is, but I personally would enjoy it and I believe others may as well.

I don't think there could be too many variations to be made, but the smart repel is an awesome idea in my mind. What I am getting from you is it only uses 1 step of the Repel when you step in the grass/wild pokemon area. I believe this would be a good addition, although it should expire if you log out with it still active.

personally I'd say it wold be best to have basic modes of transportation, such as, bike(possible acro and mach), maybe a skateboard, roller blades(ice skates for icy areas), maybe a snow mobile for snow cover areas but anything more might just be over kill, but again just my two cents :)

I would define those as the primary modes of transportation.
There should also be secondary modes: planes, trains, and automobiles, large boats.

But you're right, much more, is too much more.
yea I completely forgot about secondary modes of transportation, but anyway secondary transportation shouldn't be player controlled maybe, it should be a path finding type AI thing where it will take you to where you ask it to bring you, like rent a car, or buying a plane ticket





If a secondary transportation was implemented, I agree with Amphy that it should be a set path that it travels. Just say you can go to a port and take a ship to 3 other ports, and you buy whichever ticket you want to whatever city you are headed to.

hopefully the berries you grow at home would be on a different timer than the ones in the wild. Just say that the ones in your house take 2 or 3 times as long to mature or be ready to pick, since you are the only one who has access to them.

I'll have to agree with Dark. The Suffix and Prefix idea is really cool. But I would like to address the Gardener one. I would actually like to suggest that it would be a certain number of Grass Type or Fire type, or poison type; or whatever type. Because if someone was gonna PVP with someone and they had.... idk (I'm backing this up.) Fire Juggler Character's name all the enemy would have to do was load up on water or Rock type pokemon to totally own the other person.

I have to agree with your observation, but I agree it should be a certain number of whatever type of pokemon. On the other hand, just because they use the title "Gardener" doesnt mean when you fight them they will have those pokemon on them at the time. lets say you had to catch 10 or 15 different grass pokemon to get the "Gardener" title, well you could put it on and have water type pokemon instead and completely destroy fire types if the other person stacks them. So while I agree it should be based on a certain number of each type caught, I dont think the title would lead to problems in PvP

Well if not one of the ideas already suggested, maybe have it to where you can only trade pokemon that are within 5 or 10 levels of each other. so that lower level players can still trade, but makes it more difficult to receive a higher level Pokemon.
