There will be people wo aren't focussed on winning badges, so they would't be able to move outside a small area if they follow your idea. These things will depend on the trainer level they will implent, so don't worry about them.

You mean you will be able to focus on other things like being contestant or ranger?

and the PU-mod gets of topic :P.

But maybe graphics like a bit better worked-out humans, the better designed things in the PU map-editor. Some kind of quick Skype and MSN-like community that allows non-staffmembers like me to contact the team better (I have had a lot of misunderstandings at PU-mapeditor with the staff allready) would make the graphics a lot better and the work more fun. I like the graphic-idea, but the pixel-artists will have a lot of work.

The first idea is a good one. I would want that in the game.

About the second one: ever thought about getting a new gym badge allready is a kind of level up for the trainer, the only difference is that they don't call it level up, but:
1. you can use a new HM outside battle
2. you can trade higher level pokemon that will obey you
3. you can get further because people that hold you from traveling further disappear
4. with the new towns you can buy better items like ultra ball in stead of great ball
So you acually allready have trainer level-ups

I never knew a fire type pokemon, so I couldn't do anything for the Squirtle.

I use scratch with had 50 power in stead of 40. (70%)

Ok this is bad Pansage help ralts by using vine grip on the trainer.

Pansage obeys and the vines bind around the trainer, Pansage has problems not get sucked into the portal itself. Dremi lifts Pansage and helps him. The Arcanine-trainer slowly gets further from the portal.

Omanyte used roll-out (10% left)

You did better watch out.

Slowking uses Hydro Pump but it is too slow to hit Omanyte, which became faster by a longer Roll-out.
Omanyte hits Slowking with Roll-out and Slowking faints, Omanyte grows to lvl 25 learning mud-shot losing Leer.

Slowking didn't know who to attack so it used Hydro Pump random in the area, Charmeleon was lucky to dodge it and used Shadow Claw (it has 40% left because of the shadow claws).
Omanyte got hurt again and has only 20% left. But it hurt Slowking with a weak roll-out (30% left).
Slowking uses Facade on Charmeleon and Charmeleon has only got 45% health left.
