General Chat / Re: what you hope for from Gen 6

- Priority bug type attack
- Bug typing combinations that are good other then the same old bug/steal. yes I know there are a few but I mean come on....forretress/scizor/durant/escavalier even the legendary bug pokemon is part steel.  I want a bug/water that I can use.
- lots of other things that i wont/to lazy to list

What are you talking about? Surskit is one of the best pokes out there, it pwns everything!!!!

Ahem...on a more serious note, yes we do need pokes with better typing, it's kind of redundant to have 3 gens with fire/fighting a bunch of bug/steel or normal/flying, etc.  We need more diversity please.

Pidgey/Hoothoot vs Pidgey/Pidgeotto? No? ???

It was my first pkm play ever, i didn't know about types and stuff. My team at that time was chikorita, Bellsprout, a unleveled sentret and i think a caterpie. that super effective gust is still swirling in my head.
chikorita is the best starter in that game i think if u lost its not chikoritas fault and i think there is no excuse for losing to falkner because u can get a freaking onix or a donphan b4 fighting him anyway i always take falkner out with zubat

I hope this was a joke post...

It's a nice lead, but i kind of like her as a status inducer rather than a lead/sacrificial lamb (more so in a mono ice team). She's the only ice poke that can switch in a fighting move, and with her speed she can easily paralyze or confuse her target first.

Just any pokemon that's doubly weak to rocks after stealth rocks was introduced.

Actually I'd rather it get the higher base speed than speed boost, though I do appreciate a water type getting that ability. I guess speed boost makes up for it, but you need to have focus sash and prtect to get any speed boosts off.

You could use protect.  I think he can learn it from a TM.  That would let you get one boost in for free.

This. I thought the most common set for a sharpedo was waterfall, aqua jet, crunch and protect

It's kind of a waste to have a sweet ability only on a meh pokemon.

You will regret that >.>

Dunsparce, I mean... What is that thing?

Dunsparce: the land snake pokemon...

Sharpedo needed more speed to make up for it's poor health and almost nonexistant defenses. Then they gave it rough skin, which isn't very useful when he's only going to be one hit away from death.

He got speed boost this gen, plus he has aqua jet, what else do you want?

General Chat / Re: Pokemon: Best Wishes... (Opinions)
« on: October 14, 2011, 06:22:08 AM »
I've never finished watching battle frontier, it got way too boring for me. So no, i have not seen best wishes, but if they continued doing the same things and with even less interesting sidekicks, (don' get me wrong, i liked May & Max, the whole sibling rivalry was cute and fun, but no one can replace Misty imo) i can see the show going downhill.

I can understand why Ash always starts over in a new region only with pikachu and new companions, and why ash is the same as he was in season 1. The producers probably want to focus on kids who watch the show for the first time or have been watching since not long ago, every year they get a new audience because the concept is appealing for children.
So, they are going to keep doing things this way until the pokemon brand is not profitable anymore, which is not in the near future.

Pokes who got cheated imo...

Jinx: Magmar, Electabuzz and Rhydon got evolutions on gen 4 it's now gen 5 and she is still missing hers.

Paras: he's not the only mushroom pokemon anymore.

Dunsparce: since gen 2 he's a less than average poke with crappy stats, he's screaming for an evolution.

Flareon: 130 base attack and no flare blitz? way to cripple a poke gamefreak!

Clefable...gamefreak: Hey! let's give this amazing ability (Magic Guard) to a bunch of other pokes, clefable it's not being used anyways!. Me: >.<'

What do i hope for...(in no particular order except the first one)

1) No more trash bag pokes. (i mean this literally)
2) Evo for jinx, that was left without in gen 4.
3) More eeveelutions of course.  ;)
4) Starters with better typing. (no more fire/fight please, or only 1 type)
5) Bring back the vs seeker!
6) No to Audino training and reduced encounter rate.
7) Option to make pokes follow you. (like in yellow and HG/SS)

Basically - the balance effort means every fully evolved Pokemon will be usable in a skilled battle setting.
So, if we hold a tournament for all the best trainers, rather than only seeing the OU tier (Blissey, TTar, Scizor, Infernape) - you'll be seeing a huge mix of all Pokemon (like Braviary, Blastoise, Slowbro, and Clefable too)

I love you <3

Back on topic, it's not cheap but i hate to play against it: Excadrill on sandstorm.
