This is the discussion section for the RP. All details for the RP will be posted here.

Profiles are here

Characters

In this RP, you play two characters, your human player, and your astral being. Your human player does not transform into the being in their world. They project their mind and take control of their being in one of many worlds throughout the universe.

Battle zones

Characters in this universe use objects called seals to transport their minds to other worlds. These seals transform into floating orbs that stay stationary in front of the fighters. These indicate that a battle is going on. Anyone an make their own zone, but the tournament has five approved zones. They are:

Mist Valley: A wasteland shrouded in a thick fog. Long range fighters have great difficulty here as visibility is at a minimum.

The Lava Pits: An area littered with lava pools. The intense heat and random spouts of fire can get overwhelming. Falling in any of the pools results in an automatic loss.

Low-Grav Zone: A crater with floating islets where gravity is altered, allowing any competitor to leap to great heights. Flight abilities are suppressed in this zone, and you can only jump in one direction. Ranged fighters love this zone as it allows them to remain far from opponents, while close combat fighters enjoy the mid-air clashes.

Flat field: A large square field that floats in an abyss. This zone is great for determining who has greater skill, as there is no cover, and no wall. Just like the low-grav zone, flight abilities are suppressed. Falling off the edge results in an automatic loss.

Tilted treetops: A vast forest with one twist, all the trees grow out of a wall of dirt, resulting in sturdy platforms that require great care to get around. Many fighters enjoy the zone for the great amount of cover, and the need to stay on their toes.

Created zones

Bionis' Leg: A medium sized plain arena. It is flat with not many places to seek cover. Well suited to all forms of combat; providing a perfect arena to test a fighter's true ability. The arena is similar to flat field in the manner that it has a drop off that instantly desyncs a fighter, but it has near normal gravity, allowing aerial Astral Beings to thrive in the open skies. Gravity get's stronger the closer to the edge you get, at the very edge of the arena you will literately be sucked into the void, only the strongest Astral Beings can survive here.
Submitted by Fox

Grand Labyrinth: A stone field that constantly transforms like a puzzle, with the floor and the walls moving in different directions, like building blocks, and each block has an arrow, hinting the direction it will move. Flyers have an advantage since the roof doesn't move, and, if skilled enough, astral's can take great advantage of the field.
Submitted by Nexalas

Note: If two people are fighting, you can spectate. However, spectating means you will not be able to interfere with the match. For the sake of the RP, fighters can't see the spectators, and spectators are unable to attack.

The City

This is the fighting capitol of the world. There are multiple ares in the city you can explore.

The Arena: The tournament grounds. It is also the cities main attraction. There are training and holding rooms available to all the contestants, and the main stage is reserved for the official matches.

The park: A good place to take a stroll, or to meet some new rivals.

Downtown area: The center of business. Fighting is frowned upon in this area as it can disrupt the working people. There are some areas where fighting is allowed, if the walk to the arena or park seems too much. This is also where the shopping areas are located.

Fighter's academy: A school for young fighters who are learning how to synch properly, and hopefully join the tournament when they get of age. Head to here if you want to see the fresh talent, or get a refresher course in battle techniques.

Note: I am not great at drawing maps, so if anyone would like to make one, go ahead.

Seal Disks
For simplicity reasons, all arenas are now summoned through Seal Disks. Each disk can hold one arena, and only one disk is needed to battle.

Blank disks are used to copy an arena that you have created. Simply summon an orb form your astral mark, then face the disk towards the orb to absorb it permanently.

*Note: These actions must be performed by the character. All created battle zones must be approved by the GM.

*More details will be added later, but here are the basics for now.

32
In another world, a competition of epic proportions takes place. Humans have discovered a way to transport their minds across dimensions, becoming another being, and battle against others in order to prove their worth. Many have gained fame and glory over the years, but one thing remains the same. There can be only one that can be called a true champion. Once a year, a grand tournament takes place in the fighter capitol of the world, Vangrant city. The invitations have been sent, and fighters from all over are flocking in hopes to be named the new champion. However, with all good things, evil waits around the corner.

Rules
-No Godmodding. You are not all powerful, and must be fair to the other players.

Fan Fiction & Writing / Arceus: An Alternate Origin Story
« on: June 14, 2012, 06:18:30 AM »
I decided to write my own pokemon origin story. Yes, it is one of those, and I found it boring to write, but who knows, some of you guys might enjoy it.

Disclaimers:

-This is not the story-line for PU, so do not associate it with PU at all.

-I ran out of ideas about midway in the beginning part, so there is a chance I may not even continue this.

-My keyboard is not working right for me, so if there are any grammatical errors, just quote the part and let me know so i can fix it.

Well, enjoy:

Out in space, an event of catastrophic proportions was following through. A super massive black hole had formed and was engulfing entire galaxies. In didn't take long before everything in it's path was destroyed, and left nothing, not even the vacuum, of space itself. Since nothing could exist in nothing, the black hole collapsed into itself, and burned white hot for an unknown number of years, forming the shape of an egg. For ages, the egg was the only thing to exist in the eternal darkness.

After this long period of quiet, the egg began to hatch, and out came a strange being that glowed in a strong white aura, and was surrounded by ten bodies holding their own power. This being was Arceus.

For an undetermined amount of time, Arceus galloped around like a white steed through the nothingness, trying to find anything, believeing the nothing ness would evetually let up, while the ten bodies stayed fixed around his center.

"Why am I the only one who exists? What cruel fate is this to live in eternal darkness?"

In a fit of rage, Arceus let out a loud roar, the bodies around him released powerful forms of energy, causing a devisatting explosion. Arceus himself was frightened by the blast, and was blown back. When he regained his balance, he seen what was the result, many gaseous forms floating around him, teaming with great amounts of power. Arceus was amazed it was he that did this, and took a look at the bodies that let out the beam, never really looking at them before. They were flat, and without faces, but each glowed a different color, and each held a different image.

Wanting to see the limit of this new found power, Arceus let out a second wave to see if he can cause another explosion, but the beam went straight on, until it hit one of the gaseous giants he had made, causing it to dissapate.

"I don't understand. Maybe it had something to do with me yelling?

Arceus let out a second cry, and the same thing happened. The beam went straight on until it hit another one of his creations, causing that to dissipate as well.

"so it will never happen again. I should stop before I destroy allof these."

Little did he know, the orbs he destroyed sent their energies outward, and combined with adjacent ones. Arceus galloped around these for an undetermined amount of time, until he started to notice a change. Some of the orbs had become solid. Arceus decided to inspect one of these solid formations, and landed ona planet with a nearby ligt source. What he seen was a barren wasteland, seeming to have the same nothingness he was born into.

"This is what I made. More nothing."

Arceus had become saddened, and in his sorrow, one of his plates activated, this time, flooding the entire plain with water. Arceus noticed this, and discovered he could use each plate individually. When he looked at the water below, it began to boil down from the heat of the light source, and disapeared.

"That orb may prove troublesome. I should get farther."

He went to the neighboring rock, and activated the plate that brought the water, flooding it as before. The water became hot like the first, and disapeared as well.

"That lasted longer than the first. Off to the next one."

When he came to the third rock, he poured out a large amount of water, larger than the previous two. The water was warmed, but it seemed to stay put. Arceus felt pleased with himself, and dove right in, swimming in the endless ocean. When he rose from these waters, he began to experiment with the other plates, first by causing a massive eruption from deep within the planet, causing a large land mass to form at the top of the world.

From there, he caused a vast forest to form, and air to flow, making the sky turn blue, and the forests to thrive. He caused a large storm that wiped out a large part of the forest. He had made his world, something to occupy him.

Over time, Arceus became lonely again, and wondered if he could make a companion. He had used almost all his plates, except for one, which seemed like it didn't fit with the others. He thought that since water helped him start the planet, he would make a being out of water. He sed the power of the water plate, and the power of the last plate, and combined them. Another being was formed, but it remained lifeless. Arceus, in a panicked attempt, shot a bolt of lightning into it, causing it to rise. He names the being Palkia, and tasked him with organizing the heavens, but he was to leave this world, and the sun where it is. Palkia did as he was told, and Arceus was pleased.

Arceus felt like making a second servant, deciding to make him strong out of the earth. He combined the power of earth and the new element, and another being was made, but again lifeless. Arceus shot it with a bolt of electricity, but it remained lifeless.

"Why, it worked for Palkia, why not you?"

In his rage, he let loose a large flame onto the mound, burning it white hot. The being rose, and jumped out of the fire in a red streak. When the flames died down, the being showed that he was made of a different substance. A new plate had formed, and Arceus noticed the strenght in it. He named this being Dialga, and told him to cegin a cycle for the universe to follow. Dialga did so, making all the planets turn, and the passage of time began.

Other Chat / The name game: How your name says how attractive you are
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:09:46 PM »
Alright you guys wondering why you can't find that one girl, even though you can do all the things right ton attract one. Have you ever considered your name can be a factor?

The answer: yes, it is a factor.

It turns out that women find some names more attractive over others. For instance, most woman find that a man with the name Ryan, or Micheal are highly attractive as it reflects success, while men named Paul, George, or Keith tend to project failure. The same goes for woman. Men find women with the names Sophie, Maria, and Lindsay for attractive than Helen, Anne, and Francine. Why? Your name is literally who you are, it defines you, and helps people call you out.

Your name alone will either be your best friend, or your worst enemy.

I read this, and thought "No, that would be too shallow, no one gets turned off by a name." Science says otherwise, don't believe me, write a list of the last 10 people you felt attracted to, then write a list of 10 people you would never consider dating. Only write the first name and leave personality out. Yes, it is another factor out of the many (Little fact, the bad boy concept is still around, known as the dark triad study, look it up), but for the sake of this one, stick to names. Take at your two lists and see if any similarities pop up, like a repeat name, or the lack/presence of the letter P, H, and O.

I for one am keeping my name, as I grown attached, but if you feel as though yours is hindering you, you can always get it changed.

(was going to put this in general chat, but decided to make a whole new topic. Plus, it gives you something to think about.)

Other Games / [Wii] Xenoblade Chronicles
« on: April 21, 2012, 04:12:57 PM »
Genre: RPG
Players: Single player
Wif-fi: No
Rating (By me): 9.5
Game informer rating: 10

A while ago, I have purchased this game and have been playing quite a bit of it, and already it blows my mind. It gives me a lot of reasons to believe the hype in all the gaming sites and magazines that give this game a near perfect to a perfect rating every time. The largest RPG ever created for the Wii, it offers many different ways to play, from the quests to crafting.

The story
The story to this game is simple, two titans battled long ago until they died, and two colonies formed on the titans. One is the homs, the humans of the land, who drive on the biological side of the titans, and the mechanics, higher intelligence robots that thrive on the mechanical side of the titans. Both sides are locked in the same never ending combat the titans had long before them. Even though the story element is simple, there is more to it later in the game that makes you really think, and for the sake of not releasing any spoilers, I won't go into more details than this.

Playability
The game is really easy to grasp, though may seem tedious at first, and helps you along the way with tutorial screens that offer minor details on how to perform something. Once the screen is out of the way, you can get right to fighting, or walking, or whatever. Controls are always available ion the HUD, which you can have turned off by setting the options. Moving your character is simple, just use the joystick on your nunchuck. If at any point you need a refresher of how to play, or how to do something, every tutorial window, plue a more detailed explanation if possible, is available to you at any time in the game. So if you missed how to perform combos, you can pull up the performing combos window.

combat
The combat system takes a bit getting used to, as it relies on auto attack features, and player reflex. Whenever you engage an enemy, your character will begin to attack if they are within range. Once you are, you will be able to select different arts to use that have more effects if used at different positions or under certain conditions, some of which require you to be behind your enemy for bonus damage. You'll find your self coming up with strategies on the fly, especially if you're about to perform a good move, but the enemy decided to turn around, bringing it back to base power, but you have another move ready. But no fears, you can set more than one move, and they will all be used in the order you pressed.

When it comes to combos, you can initiate a chain attack after a certain point in the game, where you take control of each character in your battle party, select one art to combine into a chain, to dish out a lot of damage at once. The more your party members like each other, the larger the chains you can perform.

Environment
Probably the main reason I love this game so much is the landscape. It's as detailed as things get, with blades of grass going in every direction, clear blue skies that have clouds that move across it, and beautiful buildings in the city. You can see it all, and take in all the work that went into it. The best part of it is, no place is restricted, it's all open to explore. You see a place you can jump on, jump on it. You want to dive off a cliff int water, dive of it. There are no invisible barriers, you are only limited to how high your character can jump.

With every environment, there are also a ton of monsters to fight, some of which may seem easy. My first mistake was thinking the first area had only easy monsters until I found a new area with high level monsters that would kill me in one hit. You never know what you will find if you explore a little.

Graphics
The only thing that flaws the game, the graphics seem a bit dated, especially on the character designs. They almost look blocky. This can easily be looked past, as the entire game is awesome, and you forget how your characters look.

These are the highlights you can expect from this game, and the best thing is, you play your way. If you don't feel like doing the main story and do a bunch of side quests, go ahead. You want to just go and hunt monsters to power level, go ahead. You just want to go and sight see, for all means, go ahead. There is no time limit to complete the main quest. I'm not even done with the game, and I did so much before taking on the next portion of the story line. I suggest that if you do play, set the in game language to Japanese, and your Wii system to English to have Japanese voice actors with English subtitles. The English voice acting is actually good, but I just like how Japanese voice actors sound.

I made this thread not just to hype about the game, but for people to discuss about it if they have it, and ask questions about playing strategies, quests, and whatnot. So if you have it, talk about it, if you don;t, you will not be disappointed if you get it.

Random Zombie RP

RP Profiles

Here is where you can ask all the questions related to the RP and plan any events.

Map

-Weather and time: There is only one weather, never ending fog. The time will change from day to night every three days. Nights are really cold, while days tend to be hard to navigate.

-If you want an event, then you can call for one using what I like to call the special RP action. Use this when doing anything major, like barricading a door, pr searching a container.

~Insert action here~

That will be my Que to go to the coin flip.

3x Heads- Success plus good fortune

2x Heads, 1x Tails- success

2x Tails, 1x heads- Failure

3x Tails- Failure plus bad fortune

This is new for me to try, and will allow for a more random feel to some in. I will take into account character occupations when it comes to certain events.

-Weapons: This is a purely melee weapon RP. Guns can be found, but there is no ammunition. I may allow you to find ammo under certain circumstances.

-Zombies: A note on the undead, so no one can make a guess and hope it's right, they can't run very fast, but they can pick up speed in an instant. They are blind, but have extremely good hearing, and will roar at the first sign of food, causing more to flock to the spot. You may think that sneaking around would be a good tactic, but I may do random misfortunes that can cause zombies to flock.

-I may include aspects of fallout, resident evil, left 4 dead, and walking dead into this Rp, such as their weapons. Get familiar with some of the terminology that may come up a few times.

OOCC

Profiles

Plot: In the year 2020, the world was at the brink of scientific progress, and peace throughout. All the worlds leaders came together to sign one last treaty that would unite them as one nation. This would be the day marked as "New earth." On March 12, 2020, a week after the peace signing, an odd weather pattern began to blanket the earth, a dense fog that blocked out the sun, bringing nights of endless cold, and days of limited vision. This was not the only misfortune, as reports came from all over the world of gruesome murders, and strange figures walking about, the day the dead have risen from their graves, disrupting the new found peace, and plunging the world into chaos once again.

With the world a mess once again, there is a shining hope in the pacific ocean, an island hidden among the fog, Perfection Isle. People flocked to this place in hopes of escaping the plague, bringing supplies to build a new home. It has been 10 years since then, and the people built a city on the island, but this is no different than an other, the zombie apocalypse has spread there.

Only a handful of survivors remain, trying to make the best of what they got, and avoid the hellish horde at every turn. But no one can survive a zombie plague.

Map:

Downtown area- The center of business and the location of the town hall. It's scattered with abandoned office buildings and shops.

~Town hall: When the wave broke out on the island, this place was fortified. It was in vain as the zombies still got through, and all lives were lost. Now it is a catacomb of the last defense of the island rumored to house a number of weapons and valuables.

~Al's Hardware- Old Al has fortified his store and offers aid to the other survivors in return for supplies. The entrance is located on the roof, as zombies have trouble climbing up a ladder for some reason.

~Super Duper Mart: The large grocery center that is almost gutted clean. Survivors head here to see if they can find any food scraps around, while also trying to avoid the zombies.

~Library: The fortress of books next door to the tow hall. Rumors say that schematics for great devices may be found here.

~Miscellaneous office buildings and other: Thought nothing special about these places, except the possibility to find supplies in them, they can be claimed as a rest area.

-Residential Area: The scattered houses where people once lived. Nearby is the School which would hold all grades, and the ruins of the hospital, police station, and fire station.

~School: A large place that taught everyone from children to adults. The rooms may have some useful items, if you don;t mind the occasional zombie teacher.

~Fire and police station: Not much to look at, but these places have the best security systems on the island. A weapon or two can be found at the police station, and fresh water can be grabbed from the fire station, if someone can get the generators to run.

~Hospital: Random medical supplies can be found here, but none dare to enter since the place is pitch black, and a hotzone for the undead.

-Forests: Trees, trees, trees The only good these places are for is to find kindling and provide cover.

-Beach: The sandy part of the island, it is home to the pier and surf shack.

~Pier: A graveyard for boats left behind by their owners. Some of the boats may have useful supplies, others are on the verge of sinking, and others may have an unwelcome guest.

~Surf Shack: Peter Bro used to live here, but no one has seen him since he went out surfing in the fog. There is nothing really special about this place except that freshly cooked fish are found from time to time with a note that says, "Order up".

-Mountain: The highest poiunt on the island. Though no zombies can traverse the massive, it is a dangerous trek that can take your life with a random rock slide and fall to the hard ground below.

-Lighthouse: The one light on the island that constantly points to the town hall, keeping the area well lit. No one knows who is keeping the light going, but they are sure that it will burn out one day.

*Please don't mind the crude map, if someone can design a better one, PM me and I may reward you in the RP.

Rules:

1. NO godmodding. You are not all powerful, and can't do the impossible.

2. Use proper grammar and spelling at all times. In the case of dialogue, you may write in any style you wish so long as it is readable.

3. Posts must be at least a paragraph long (4-5 sentences). An short posts will be notified, and failure to comply will result in the premature death of your character, and possible ban from the RP.

4. As with a zombie RP, you can make as many characters as you wish, but you can only control one character at a time. If you get bored with your current character, kill them off and make a new one. Note, all items obtained by one character do not carry over to the next.

5. Be creative and have fun.

Games / Cortex J's Nuzlocke Challenge
« on: March 12, 2012, 08:33:26 PM »
Hello fans of Pokémon. You may have heard of a Nuzlocke challenge, a way to play Pokémon under a certain set of rules. Well, I am here to introduce a challenge with the base rules, and a few extra rules, to provide a great challenge to the game.

The Rules: (Before you begin, go to the storage system, and name the last box Dead. This will hold "dead" Pokémon.)

1.You can only catch one Pokémon per area. This includes routes, caves, forests, etc. This excludes shinies.

2. You can't use Pokémon centers to heal, only items. If all of your Pokémon are out of PP for moves, then you may use the Pokémon centers.

3. If a Pokémon faints, you either have to release it, or place it in the storage box until the end of the game.

4. You can't allow a Pokémon to evolve before level 45. After that, evolutions are fair game.

5. You can only have three Pokémon at a time in your party. If you have more than three, the Pokémon after slot 3 will count as inactive. You must store the Pokémon in any box that isn't for dead Pokémon.

6. At each market, you can only buy 10 of any Pokéball at a time. This means, if a store has poke, great and ultra, you can only have 10 in total. Any Pokéballs found in the field are fair game, and do not count towards the total.

7. The items full heal, full restore, and revive are forbidden to use at any time.

8. The item max revive can only be used to revive a "dead" Pokémon on your team.

9. You can only use a maximum of three items during battle. This means potions, status healers, berries, etc.

10. You may use hold items that are one time use, but hold items with constant effects are not allowed.

11. You can't use TMs at all. You may use HMs, as they are necessary for the story.

12. You can't use a legendary Pokémon. That is a no-no for this challenge.

Follow these rules to have a very challenging play-through of any Pokémon game. I too will be taking this challenge. If you do not have a Pokémon game, then I guess you can't take this challenge. record yourself if you wish. Good luck.

Note: You may stop following the rules after you beat the league champion once.

Notice: Current as of October, 2012.

Hello new members of PU. You probably made an account for this sight, and are looking around the forums for information about the game, and other items, but find it troubling to navigate. Below is a list of questions, and answers, that should make the process of finding info a lot easier.

Game Related

Why hasn't the game been released.
-All the answeres as to why are located Here

How do I download the game?
-The game is still in development, so there is no download. A game takes time to develop, as there are a lot of aspects of it that needs done, like art work, storyboard, GUI, etc. We ask for your patience as we want to provide a good game, not a fast one.

When does the game release?
-There is no set date. You can follow the development on the front page to get an idea what is going on, but as of now, we have no idea when beta will be ready.

What will the system requirements be?
-The game will be functional on Windows, Linux and Mac.

Will we be able to catch legendary pokemon?
-No. If everyone were to have legendary pokemon, then the game would be less fun, since everyone would have a mewtwo, arceus, etc. Instead, legendary pokemon will be used as bosses for quests, and defeating them will give greater rewards in the game.

What region will we be in?
-The region is called Miryus, a large place created by the team. It will be a large region, with lots of things to do.

What will the starter pokemon be?
-Bulbasaur,Chikorita, Treeko, Turtwig, Snivy
-Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Oshawatt
-Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Tepig

-Only these pokemon will be the starters, nothing else.

Will there be any fakemon?
-No, there will not be any made up pokemon, or made up moves. Fakemon can tend to be made overpowered, and are also annoying since they need a lot of thought.

-Simply click on new topic. Be sure to place your topic in the right board, and make it readable to everyone. We do not want to sit and decipher "PU Roks sooooooooooooooo hardz lolololol." Also, think out what you want to post. Sometimes lengthy is better.

How to I modify my post?
-Click the wrench in your post to modify it. You can also click modify on your post as well. What you want to avoid is double posting, or posting right after you just posted on the same thread. Remember, the modify button is your friend.

How do I set a signature?
-Go to your profile settings, then click on forum profile. There is a box where you can set a signature. In that box, you can write anything you wish with the character limit.

-To put pics in your signature, just use the following code:

Code: [Select]
[img]Your image URL[/img]
Is there anything for us to do on the site?
-Yes, there are lots of things to do. If you draw or do pixel art, head to Art Work. If your write, head to Fanfiction & Writing. If you want to RP, head to Roleplay Corner. If you're just bored, head to In-Forum Games.

Is there anywhere I can meet and battle other trainers?
-Yes there is. We use PO to test some of the pokemon the balance team has redone. You can find more info at the Balance Testing Server. You can test out some of the pokemon currently balanced, and provide feedback on any pokemon you feel are overpowered, underpowered, or seems to be missing something.

What if I'm not sure my topic is posted?
-Use the search bar in the top right hand corner. This is another handy tool that will be your best friend after a while. It may seem confusing at first, but with a little practice, you can navigate this site with ease.

Well, there you have it, all your questions answered. If you feel as though a question has been missed, feel free to ask, and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

This is the chat for the RP. If you are going to battle another character, please settle the outcome here, or through PM. Use this thread to ask questions, or suggest new ideas.

There will be a time frame. Time will change when enough active players are ready for it to change. State so here.

remember, the entire place is a large city that has been demolished. The sectors of the underlands are north, south, east, and west. How the sectors get determined is how you guys post. If a specific sector is not named, then you guys are considered close to the center, under utopia.

Utopia is the city of silver and gold, and can be seen floating, due to technology, high above the underlands. The only way there is by hover lifts. Hover lifts are only usable by paladins and guards, and are heavily guarded. However, the rebels have a way to get to the city, it's just not revealed yet.

MAP:

Central city is there, but utopia is above that.

Check back here frequently for any changes. Changes will also be posted in the first post of the RP.

RP is full!

Races
  • Human

The humans that remain have grown immune to the virus, therefore, they have not been mutated. They are skilled workers, fighters, and pretty much anything they put their mind to. They are weaker than any of the mutants due to the lack of powers, but are able to use weapons and armors more effectively. The human lifespan is at 75-80 years.

  • The chosen
The chosen are humans that gained powers from the virus, but have not changed in appearance. Their powers vary from each other, and no two are the same. The chosen have a weakness to lead, however, which causes their powers, and life force, to slowly drain. Standing around lead causes them to feel weak, and touching the metal can prove lethal. Chosen lifespan is 45-50 years

  • Monsters

The monsters were also humans affected by the virus, but were transformed into grotesque beings. They have higher resistances to lead than the chosen, but can still be killed by the lethal metal. Their powers tend to be more physical, and don't vary as much as the chosen. Some monsters are slaves to the chosen, while others hate the chosen and humans alike. Monster lifespan is unknown.

  • Robot

Robots were built during the war to help the humans when they became a minority. They behave the same way as humans, but can't go against any command they are given by their owner. Robots are built out of lead to be protected from Monsters and chosen, and can get uprgades that can improve their skills, especially in combat. Robots are durable, but are weakened by strong electromagnetic fields. Robot lifespan is ageless.

Other Roleplay / [Closed] Poisoned Utopia| Time: Evening| Weather: Cloudy
« on: January 09, 2012, 06:15:25 AM »
Plot
In the distant future, a viral outbreak caused a strange phenomenon among humans. The virus, known as Project Perfect World, was released into the atmosphere, bringing genetic mutations among the humans. Some humans benefited from the virus, others were harmed, and the rest were unaffected. A war broke out, and thousands of lives were lost as the battle between the chose, the humans, and the monsters rampaged across the land. Out of this, a group of chosen and humans banded together, and built the flying city of Utopia. 100 years has passed since the end of the war, and Utopia lived up to it's name since then. However, the under lands are in great poverty and turmoil. Crime is abundant, and those that wish to escape to Utopia have a slim chance. But Utopia is not all it promises, as a new threat lies in the midst, and could bring the entire country, and possibly the world, to it's knees.

Weapons
The weapons allowed in this RP are ones already invented. I limit it to this as the lore of this Rp is that industry concentrated on building robots, and regular guns are effective on the mutated individuals. Such weapons are guns, swords, knives, arrows, pretty much anything invented. The weapons have a lead base in their ammunition, or blade, if they are specifically designed to kill mutants.

MAP:
Utopia is above Central City

Rules
  • No godmodding at all. You will receive one warning. After that, you will be kicked out of the RP if it continues.
  • All posts must be at least a paragraph long. A paragraph is 4-5 complete sentences. Any shorter will result in being dropped from the RP.
  • Proper grammar and spelling must be used at all times. If it is character dialogue, then the rules do not apply, but must be easy to read, and easy to understand. Use Microsoft Word, or a spell check program to help you with editing.

  • Your character has a life, which means they interact with people. They must be doing something, unless it has to do with a battle phase. Give them some personality. Time does not stand still at all either.
  • You must post relevant to what is happening near your character. If there is a battle going on, you need to post on what you are seeing as that character, or what you are going to do about it. For example, Johnny stumbles upon a battle going on, he runs from it.
  • Do not ignore other characters if they address your character.
  • Be creative. Though this is not really a rule, let your mind run as you post, it makes for a good story.

Quests & Plots / [QUEST] The Cretaceous Hunt
« on: December 23, 2011, 07:40:47 PM »
Allow me to introduce an alternative to fossils. It is not like other fossil quests, I assure you. I write this as a fun way to collect the ancient pokemon, with a little adventure in it.

Location: The Cretaceous Zone (think about it)
Time: Spring and Summer months
Level: After 5th badge
Plot: The Cretaceous Zone is open, and needs hunters, will you take the challenge.

This is a catching quest, you will be catching the best game there is, the ancient pokemon. Head to the zone (should in an open plain, preferably rocky, with some pools of water).

Begin

Alibaster:AHA, Welcome my friend, to the Cretacsous Zone, home of  the most ferocious pokemon on the planet. I am your lead Huntsmen, Alibaster, the man with the plan, and the money for your enjoyment. You see, I have a challenge for you. i want you to find me an Aerodactyl in my Game field. They are Uncommon here, as they love to fly off. I can;t control them so much. If you manage to find one, I will make you an honorary huntsmen.

Simple, catch the Aerodactyl, show it to Alibaster, get reward money, and a new outfit.

-When wearing the outfit, you get a 5% better catching rate in the Cretaceous zone.

I'm proposing a trainer class called huntsmen with 5 rankings. There will be a quest line to get the rankings, each one with benefits.

Though this one may not seem as thought out as my other quests, this is just the beginning. I have all the other rankings done, and will post as I go along, i just need to organize them first.

As always, comment, criticize, or suggest ideas. I do read them. Later today, I will post the quest to get rank two.

Also, check out my other quests by going to the forums, clicking ideas and suggestion, then clicking quests and plots. Mine are more recent, so if you feel disappointed in this one, check out the others to get an idea of the detail I plan to put in this.
