Brock and Lt. Surge in Yellow. Misty in R/B with charmander. Wattson in R/S/E with Treecko. Like most of you, Whittney In original S/G/C and new SS/HG. Steven at Meteor Falls in Emerald.

If it had to be anyone, it would be Cynthia. Everyone else including Alder was a piece of cake. Although, in the original Silver, Red was pretty tough.

Well... considering my recent play of Leafgreen, I set my game with restrictions.

-Must battle as many trainers as possible
-NO TEMPORARY ITEMS
-One pokemon ONLY, (Excluding HM slaves)

Considering the above restrictions... The whole of the Elite Four is Impossible.

So... them. >.>

I don't know about that. I recently did pretty much the same thing on my own leaf green (except for the no temporary items thing) and my Blastoise did pretty well. Lorelei was the only one who got his health down into the red.

For me, the toughest in-game trainer is Wattson of Mauville City Gym. I was doing a similar restricted game as LeoReborn described, and for this one I had chosen Aron. His f***ing Magneton (pardon my French) whupped us at least 10 times before I finally wised up and trained Aron enough to evolve into Lairon, and even then we only beat him on pure luck.
You ask why the Old Chateau, I ask what better place to study ghost Pokemon.

I say Witney was very annoying.
You had to hope you would have FEMALE pokémon with you that couldn't be affected by attract. An miltank spamming milkdrink, that is quite hard to kill since it is pretty bulky. Knowing rollout which gets pretty powerful after a few times.

The nacrene city gym is quite hard if you don't take a fighting type pokemon with you. (would be if no one informed you that there are fighting-type catchable VERY close by...)

Koga was also pretty hard to beat in fire red since he has bulky poison pokémon. And you're kinda forced to take a psychic pokemon with you to beat him...

Claiming that someone else's marriage is against your religion is like being angry at someone for eating a doughnut because you're on a diet.

It's okay, Magneton (fr.) = Magneton (en.)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

I live in America!  :) XD

I still say either Red, Cynthia, or N was the hardest trainers to beat. I'm not saying they were hard, just the hardest to beat.  :P
