« on: October 09, 2011, 10:42:47 PM »

EARTHQUAKE
STEEL BALL it make it harder for fire types to hit by double steeleon specail defense and defense.

Ev. 252 speed, 128 SpD and 130 Def.

See my avatar pic? It's Houndeath, evolution of houndoom. Evolves at lv 56.  Bases it's atk in special range, and has great speed, but not so great defenses.

(Courtesy of Fox, because Houndeath looks like a boss)

Houndeath. Special Monster.
Abilities: Early Bird, Flash Fire, Unnerve
Stat Spread:90/50/60/130/80/108

Sample set: Scarfed Sweeper
Flash Fire Ability
Over Heat, Dark Pulse, Hidden Power-Fight, Psychic.
Timid Nature
252 speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 HP.
Choice Scarf.
While not being the fastest sweeper around with a choice scarf that problem is over come. It can easily tear unprepared teams a new set of holes. though its lack luster defs allow for a faster poke to come in and hit it with a super effective move and ko it with relative ease. But don't underestimate Houndeath.

(Mine)
Void Attacker
Same set as scarf, but use focus sash

Moves- Flamethrower/Overheat, Void Howl, Hidden Power-Fighting, Dark Pulse

This set is meant to utilize Void Howl (See move description below.) By having the seed boost, Houndeath will be able to outrun most scarf or speed sets, while dealing devastating damage. However, an opponent using priority STAB moves can knock it out in one hit easy, given it's low defenses. A good strategy for this pokemon,is to bring him out on a Psychic type to take advantage of the immunity, then use void Howl. Focus sash is a precaution to priority moves, as it will leave you with 1 hp, allowing you to destroy the opponent, or get a health advantage for a bulky switch in. Flamethrower can be replaced with Overheat, giving you a chance to use the move twice after Void Howl, and either knocking out two of your opponents pokemon, or eliminating pesky stall and bulky sets.

(My own addition, a different move)
Void Howl- The user increases it's sp atk and speed (+2), but  cuts its defenses (-2 def, sp def)

Glaciator: Fight/Ice.
Stat Spread: 95/120/40/75/40/130
Ability: Ice Shield: This Pokemon is protected from critical hits.

Sample Set: Physical Sweeper.
Adamant Nature
Swords Dance, Close Combat, Ice Sword, Earthquake.
Item: Life Orb.
Ability Ice Shield
Evs: 252 speed, 252 Attack, 4 HP.

You might think one thing when you see this pokemon, Uber. And you are right, until you look at it closer. Its fight/ice typing gives it a weakness to most priority attacks, and with its less then impressive defs is is usually koed by any poke that can use them. So any poke that can use them usually will land a OHKO on Glaciator.

Ice Sword: Power:100 Accuracy: 90 The user draws a massive ice sword and strikes the foe. May cause the foe to flinch. 20% to flinch. PP: 5, 8 after PP Max

Most common prio hits would not kill it -

For example, built correctly (likely 252 HP or Def, the rest in Speed - as you'd be Swords Dancing) - Lucario's ES would be a 3 Hit KO.
LO Infernape's Mach Punch a 2HKO.
Hell, even Conkeldurr's Mach Punch would 2HKO (without Guts)

@fox: cut his HP down to 40-45, that should make him alot frailer.

Thanks L5P still haven't masted the damn damage formula. ::) but other then the faulty damage calculations what do you think of it?
@fox: cut his HP down to 40-45, that should make him alot frailer.
Don't want it to frail though.

I think it would make an absolute beast of a wallbreaker and sweeper.
It's scarier than Weavile.
Pretty cool - I agree that it doesn't have to have its HP reduced by so much.
Maybe 15-20, not more. :)

They aren't actively looking for balancers at the moment, but if you really want to be a balancer, you should read this:

http://pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,1051.0.html

You don't need to fit every requirement (for example, I'm not yet 18), but it would be helpful if you do ;)

and also this:

http://pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,1666.0.html

Try filling out the form, send it to Level5Pidgey, and he'll evaluate you. I used Tauros as an example pokémon, but choose whatever pokémon you want and is under/overpowered. Be creative, surprise us ;)

Note:You'll have to learn to work with damage calculators and using the damage formula though, it's an important part of the job (the part that takes time :-\).

If there is a formula, send me a link with it. I hate math, but I'm really good at it. I am not applying for the position, I just want something to do, as today, I have the flu, and will be very bored.

ok thanks... I wish i wasn't dyslexic right now.

Just take your time, there's no time limit. The Tauros analysis I've made took me 2 whole days. How to improve the pokémon wasn't that hard, but the calculations etc took alot of time (coupled with limited computer acces :-\). Just work on it until you have the feeling it's done/finished/perfect. If you post it then, you might become a balancer (that's how it happened to me).

If there is a formula, send me a link with it. I hate math, but I'm really good at it. I am not applying for the position, I just want something to do, as today, I have the flu, and will be very bored.
the formula:http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Damage_modification
damage calculator:http://www.smogon.com/calc/ (I wish I knew about this one earlier, it's awesome)
But for now, Back on topic.

I haven't thought of a name for this one, but its my special version of Glaciator

Dragon/Fire.
Base Stats: 60/90/50/140/60/100 Total: 500.
Abilitys: Flash Fire, Mold Breaker, Unnerve

Sample Set: Special Sweeper.
Ability: Mold Breaker.
Evs: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 HP.
Moves: Hell Fire, Draco Meteor, Earth Power, Cosmic Drain.
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid.
With a Choice Scarf equiped, this pokemon can outrun and Destroy any pokemon that gets in it way. And with Cosmic Drain if they switch into a counter you can use it as a sacrificial lamb to prepare your next pokemon to take it down. This is not a pokemon to be taken lightly.

Hell Fire: Fire: The User cloaks its foe in an internal fire that consumes any hold item. Power:100, Accuracy: 85. 40% chance to destroy Hold Item. PP:1p; 16 After PP Max

Cosmic Drain: Normal: The user Absorbs the power of the Cosmic, fainting. Upon the next turn it will fully heal and power up the next pokemon sent out. +1 to every stat. 20% Chance to fail and cause the user to faint with no beneficial effect. +3 priory. PP: 10; 16 After PP Max

This is a dragon with two heads, one is always on fire, and the other is not. kinda like heaven and hell in one being. Though I think this one is a bit too strong...

Another one, this one if for Roloc. So make sure you tell me what you think buddy.
Again I don't have a name for this one.
Bug/Flying.
Base Stats: 110/110/60/40/40/170 Total: 530
Abilities: Speed Guard. (The pokemon has a 20% boost in evasion.)

Sample Set: Speedy Avenger.
Item: Choice Band.
Ability: Speed Guard.
Nature: Adamant
EVS: 252 HP, 252 Attack,4 HP.
Moves: Avenger, U-Turn, Aerial Ace, Final Gambit.
This is the best revenge killer you can find, anywhere. with 170 base speed he will easily outrun any non scarfed pokemon, and with a choice band, assuming you are using him as intended, he will always finish them off. Final Gambit if for finishing off any pokemon that has been annoying your team. Avenger is the obvious main stay of this set as it doubles in power if one of your pokemon fainted the previous turn. U-turn if for getting out if you use him as a scouting lead. And Aerial Ace is for stab.

Avenger:Bug: The user takes revenge for a fallen comrade, doubles in power if used after a pokemon fainted on your side. Hits through Protect and Detect when use with Speed Guard. Power: 55, Accuracy: 100. Hits through all forms of defense if used with Speed Guard. PP: 15; 24 After PP Max

Real pain of a pokemon, maybe a little OP.
For those who want to name it: It is a small pokemon, no bigger then your hand, it is a ninja bug as well.

Edit: I might make my own thread where people can request me to make fakemon...
