Not a bad type. It has lots of awesome pokemon. Houndoom and sharpedo to name just two. :)
and has a good amount of typing variance. The two I named gives ya water and fire.

Yeah not as prolific as water, but some good type variety, some powerhouses, and quite interesting moves and abilities that can throw people off. Zoroark makes it so i can trick people into using attacks that they think will be super effective, but aren't, though with it's low defenses, it could get hurt anyway.

I'm sorry Meowth, but dark interests me more than most other types recently.

I haven't really found a good Dark type I like using. Could be that there aren't many variations that work well IMO. They always leave out sheer defenses, save for maybe Spiritomb. And most Dark types are weak vs. Fighting, so is like OHKO if you can't do it yourself.

Would also love to see more Ghost variants, and just for fun a Ghost/Normal type lol
Corpsair, Decapitain, Sparcrow, Condurit. Stumpole, Steekee, Totember, Flaracuda... My current list of ideas for Pokemon.

Spirittomb and Sableye Rip fighting types to shreds most of the time. and I dunno I love all the different types that get paired with dark. Grass/Dragon/Steel/Flying/Fire/Water/Ground/Ice/Rock/Ghost/fighting and most of them are really good.
Hydreigon
Spiritomb
Sableye
Bisharp
Weavile
Scrafty
Honchkrow
Crawdaunt
Skuntank
Krookodile

Those are all really awesome pokemon.

There are more defensive dark types beside spiritomb:

umbreon
Mandibuzz
Tyranitar

Those are pretty much it. Mandibuzz isn't available yet, but you can use Ttar and umbreon. Just try a few combos and see what fits you. dark types may have good type pairing, but there isn't that many to choose from, which makes it easier to make different team sets. Sorry for invading, I just like dark pokemon. :D

Well by defensive, i meant a balance of defences, not just one or the other. Umbreon does, but it isn't a dual type, which is what i meant by 'variations'. That and for attacking those stats kinda suck. it's a good wall if you know how to use it ofc.

I'm looking for more Dark variation Sp.Atk types too.

Stats (Based on Lv.50, no nature/EV) should be similar to this:

Defensive variant:
HP 155
Atk 100
Def 125
Sp.Atk 100
Sp.Def. 125
Spd 110

Sp.Atk variant:
HP 125
Atk 50
Def 50
Sp.Atk 150
Sp.Def 125
Spd 125

(I kinda had in mind a Dark/Electric type filling the Sp.Atk position)

Yeah I may use an umbreon baton passer.

Those are always a lot of fun. and Curse umbreon always packs a punch once it gets set up. its the only eeveelution I like and I think thats why. XD

Not sure if I should use curse or work up. Or wish versus moonlight. I do plan on making its attack payback if I use curse.

Yeah, just depend son what you want to baton pass too. If its to an already slow pokemon then curse is your best choice. and it makes umbreon more bulky while it sets up too. and yeah payback is always the way to go :D
Hits sooo hard after a few curses.

Umbreon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize/Analytic
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Payback
- Heal Bell
- Moonlight

Basic set, I recommend synchronize over analytic if you want to take on a status and send it back to the opponent. Just use heal bell, curse up, then drop a payback. If you go the analytic direction, payback will do some serious damage after a couple curses. Moonlight when needed.

I think, based on strengths and weaknesses Normal is pretty equal to Electric. 1 weakness, may not be able to cover weakness (Magnetize), but can't be hit by Ghost moves, and Norms get Giga Impact/ Hyper Beam. Best Electric move (for more than 1 Poke/non-LE) is what, like Zap Cannon?
