I take it from everybody's lack of criticism that my sprites are perfect. Thanks guys!
Make that 2, except Genbor told me it was pretty good and I should finish the rest of the poses.

Darkstar, you should kind of make the hood wider and make it join the shirt by making the separation lines much lighter, or just delete them altogether. Look at genbor's sprite, for example, the hood blends in perfectly.( If that even is a hood :P )
Using Yukimenoko's suggestion,

And here also my final version. Haven't had that much time last few days, so I wasn't been able to finish it. Now I'm getting back to do some programming for the editor.

Working on his hair view from behind now, but I can't seem to get a result I like. I'll just keep trying.

Paint is a good place to start, it's easier to understand than most at first.

I use paint to do all my pixel art. I use Photoshop to set transparency for my art, and to set the file type. .png is best. .bmp and .gif are okay. Don't use .jpeg or .jpg please.

Another program you can check out is GIMP. Just google it. I dont't use it, but it has a lot of features that are helpful while doing pixel art.

I use either Paint or GIMP. Although I like paint more since GIMP is sensitive to the pressure on my Pentablet when I use it. Not that I use my tablet often for pixelart.

You can do two things at this moment, Fret how much you suck at pixelarting or try to practise. I used to be pretty bad at pixelart. I've been pixelling for quite a long time now.

Sometimes I also feel down when someone's making amazing pixelart, but I'll usually try to turn it into inspiration to become a better pixelartist and is mainly my motivation to keep on trying to make something nice.

A majority of people think pixel art is something you can do real quick or simply don't have the patience to sit there and swap out colors until they get the right match. It's something you develop over years, and takes a quite of bit of time to master.

Here are a few tutorials that helped me out.

Another thing you could do is use reference pictures to give you idea's. Ive seen, and created, many pixel artists that were not good what so ever, but after time became better than me.

Color is the biggest thing that most amateur artist have trouble with. And something I still struggle with to this day. Even with 13 years under my belt. If you take the time, you could be great; and that is directed to everyone. :) Enjoy.

HURRY LIGHT OUT THAT FIRE ON HIS HEAD!... jks the jacket looks a bit pale on the left of the frontal view 1 and 2 on the side views theres that wierd shininess going around the ear that looks a bit out of place but overall it's great (although could use a little more shading) Not bad for your 2nd try and the eyes dont look right, look at the front page for reference.
