I wonder how we'll start out. We'll need to pick a Pokemon from the start for sure. But how? Will it be a choice from uncommon types? Rare ones or exclusive type's?

Not xompletely sure but I think it's already been said we'll just have a choice from all the starters, Kanto through Unova.

yes if you read around the forums you'll see that you get to choose from all the starters
