Name Change Thread

Before you request a name change, you need to know the following:
* Your join date
You're allowed to change your name only if you've been a member for over four months. This is four months from your join date, so if you joined April 9th, you're eligible for a change on August 9th (not July 9th. It's 120 days.)
* Had a change recently?
You're allowed to change your name only once per four month cycle. This means that you have to wait four more months between every name change. (There are exceptions to this, see below.)
* Taking other peoples' names
We do not delete or rename inactive or banned accounts, so please don't ask us to. It doesn't matter if they haven't posted since 2004 or have 0 posts, if the name you want is being used by a different account you're out of luck.
* Fixing typos, etc.
"Simple" changes and corrections won't count to your four month limit. If you made a typo in your username when registering, feel free to ask for it to be corrected in this thread.
* Length of your username
Usernames can be between 1 and 36 characters long. Letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces all count towards this.
* Your OLD username
Keep in mind that once you've changed your name, your old one will be open for anyone else to register/take.
If you understand all of the above and believe you can get your name changed, you can then proceed to check the member list to see if the name you want is taken. Unlike before, members with 0 posts, banned members, and validating members WILL appear on the list from now on. Search thoroughly to be sure the name you want isn't taken.
If all is well, go ahead and reply to this thread with the following "form":

An admin will get to the change as soon as we can. It may be a few minutes or it may be a few days, please be patient and wait for when we've got a spare moment.
