You could have all the "magic powers" just call them armor abilities.  I mean there is already invisibility and stuff, short range teleporting isn't that far fetched.  And maybe the armor could have elemental powers.

It would be like, Halo, maybe even Abilities. Except you could shoot Portals and warp anywhere. Also you probably would get weapons. The weapon could be teh magic though. You could make magical force fields everytime someone tried to attack though.

Well, it's doesn't have to be Halo.  I just like the idea of an invading alien race, that we would have to defend against.  And yes my dude would prolly be spartan.
