Charmander by miles, it was the first ever pokémon i ever owned, he's a special little guy and also he pwns. Like the way they purposely put rock gyms first just to try and damage charmander.

Squirtle.
Blastoise is a good UU Rapid spinner and wall (with toxic, protect and surf) and paired with Vespiquen (Yes, I use Vespiquen) , they are close to unstoppable. Blastoise covering the stealth rock weakness, and her other weaknesses. Yeah..

charmander gen one, a definite challenge to start with, you had to level it up heaps, catch a caterpie level that up heaps til it is a butterfree with grass type moves (absorb), or somehow manage to get your hands on a grass or water type just to have a chance at the first gym.

squirtle gen one, level up til water gun, challenge gym, win.

now i liked the challenge, and it had me better prepared for misty.

gen three, IT LEARNS METAL CLAW, how awesome is that, but you are still at a disadvantage with misty, still a challenge.

Charmander cuz he evolves into Charizard :P , I dont know why but i like pokemon with large stomechs.

And LOL Harry Potter XD. If harry potter was a pokemon, the world would explode, michel jackson will come to life, and chuck norris will marry mily cyrus.... why will this happen? IT JUST WILL!
