Actually... Swampert and Sceptile are the best starters. Charizard is the "unique Starter"

Have to disagree there.Sceptile,only had it's fame gained because of the looks and effectiveness,against Wallace.
Blaziken to me whas away more effective,double kick for 1st gym,peck for 2nd gym,and so on.Mah blaziken could take on anythink.

Back on topic.Seriously,can't we just close this thread already lol?

On my account, its not. Charizard is the best of the flames. Gyarados is the best amoung the seas. Sceptile's reasons have been stated before. Now the topic can be locked.

Some guys overlooked best LOOKING huh? Really, you should forget about tactical advantages. Anyway, in my opinion, and in no arrangement whatsoever,

Scyther, cool blades!
Sceptile, more cool blades!
Charizard, admit it, it looks cool with that tail on fire!
Rhydon, drillz! I like it's design better than Rhyperior, Rhyperior looks a little too... Fat?
Excadrill, again with the drills!
Golurk, what isn't awesome about a Ghost Mecha?
And finally, Smugleaf, uh, Snivy. Excalibur FTW!
