I'm not sure why Charizard isn't  considered a Dragon type...He is most definitely a dragon; anyone with eyes can see that, but apparently the makers of Pokemon can't.

he has the looks of a dragon. the only possible reason i can think of is Charizard"s name broken down

I was thinking you could add some letter like this: Charizard+"g","o","n" then take out the "Chariz" and reverse the "dra" and you get "Dragon". See it all makes sense when you think about it like that.  ;)

That is a good way to look at it. but I still think that he is over rated.
