First Art Work
« on: October 21, 2010, 12:03:37 AM »
Ok so I have been messing around with GIMP 2, the photo editing software, after seeing so many people's speed paints (see my other threads for them, they're great) I decided to try one, I'll admit my attempt to draw a pokemon from scratch went horribly wrong, so I decided to use a stock image from bulbapedia and spruce it up. Here's my work:

Note: This may take a few moments to download the pictures.

The Original:

First Take: Added colour and shading to paws and chest fur, added colour and slight shading to tail.

Second Take: Add colour to left ear, fix some edges and give chest fur definition.

Third Take: Smooth over edges, add colour and shading to eyes, add shading to chest fur.

Fourth Take: Colour head and right ear and smooth edges.

Fifth Take: Smooth edges and add definition to chin.

Sixth Take: Smooth chin line and chest fur, add extra chest fur definition.

Seventh Take: Smooth eyes, change eye shading, shade head, smooth paws, complete chest fur.

Eighth Take: Attempt to fix tail. (I was never happy with it)

Ninth Take: Still trying to fix that tail.  :(

Tenth Take: Finish tail.

Final Take: Re-calibrate eyes, move eyebrows and re-do mouth.

You lost the definition of the tail. If you look back at the first image, it appears to be white only at the tip.

Good work with the rest though :)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...
