« on: January 08, 2010, 07:35:06 PM »
i think for the legendary pokemon since in the game and show theirwere aparantly only one of each legendary pokemon then once a legendary pokemon is caught by a trainer they can no longer be found making them like an ultra rare colectible i mean their are plently of legendary pokemon now after all the different new pokemon out their right?

tel me if you agree or not

There is a very extensive thread about legendaries in the staff-only area, and at the end of it we basically decided you won't be able to catch any of them, they will only be available for battling against or with during quests.
Remember, unless we say it will be included, a Team Member's speculation and ideas are still just speculation and ideas. Though it may be more likely to be included, there are no guarantees!

Please check out our Jobs forum if you would like to help us with the development of Pokemon Universe. We don't bite, but we do have high standards. Hope to see you on IRC!

Yay!

Just wondering.

Are there any plans to make other pokemon uncatchable as well? Whether because they are too strong, too rare, or just plain ridiculous.
Am I a ghost or a man? Or a man-ghost offspring that come from mi father's inexplicable penetration of mi mother's ghostly woman parts? Or am I a child imitating a man's ability to change into a ghostly form in order to preserve mi appellation?

aww no legendaries so sad  >.< well I know it wouldn't help but if you ever did decide to include legendaries their stats should be dulled down maybe and make them work like the puesdo-legendary type pokemon such as Tyranitar, Dragonite, or Salamence

I'm sorry for criticizing the PU Development Team, but i kinda think its unfair to not let a single person catch any legends.

Ideas for putting Legends in the PU Game:

1. like sum1 said, have the legend in a quest. Once the player completes that quest AND reach a certain point in the game, (obtain X badges, catch X pokemon, complete X guilds/challenges,) they are allowed to catch the legend that was in the quest they completed

2. in cooperation with my first idea, once you complete the instructions in my first idea, have the pokemon roam around the region, allowing the player to catch the legend. [Note: the legend will appear only for the player who completes my instruction set #1]

And thats all i got.

By the time anyone has completed all that we might have changed our view about legendary Pokémon.

Like Alais said, we discussed this thoroughly in the staff-forum (and we have some nice idea's for legendary Pokémon) and our final conclusion was; It's too early to discuss how and where to put the legendary, our first priority is to include all other Pokémon into the game.

Could they be a prize for a big tournament in the future later in the game... just to spice it up and be able to have as a trophy..also have limit on them like not able to use in pvp or any tournament

This counts as a satanic summoning of entities from over a millenia ago
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.
