Kind of figured. Honestly, half those profile bits are pointless to add, and most can be answered in a few words. The only parts that matter are name, race/species, age, look, temperament, abilities, languages and bio. The rest are useless details that can be introduced in the story, or explained in another section.

Also, I half-assed my way through it. Guess you could have picked that up.

I could add them in the story, but these aren't RP profiles. I am just planning on these. And yeah, kinda figured.

Yeah, I find that the one I use has a bit less useless info and some more somewhat useful stuff. And a for what you just said, it somewhat describes how I can develop my characters as my plot takes shape. And lastly, I kinda figured you didn't try too hard. What Bladessays is of course valid too, though.

Yeah. Yours is probably better for someone planning a story. I kinda plan stories differently than most. Make every character that comes to mind with these profiles, and when I'm done, I get to cracking on a plot.

Yeah, everyone has their own writing method, and as long as their final piece comes together well, then there's certainly no wrong wrong way to do it.

EDIT: Oh, and here's a vague description of a house that belongs to a character in the book I'm writing. Keep in mind that this is the minimum amount of info I could put, as there are very few details other than the major information, and nothing is described into detail. Just wanted to give another example of the minimum amount of information used in nearly each category on the profiles template (regardless of what template you use). Also keep in mind that this is a very simple and uninteresting home with very little history to the building itself.

-Description of home: Was able to move into a brick building once she had become a teenager. The building was originally built to be a storage unit, but  a winter storm came and wiped out many of the village's resources (before the storage unit was completed), leaving people only what they had in their small homes. The building was completed not long after the blizzard passed, but was used to house Kafil, Alex, and a couple of other villagers who's homes were destroyed in the storm. Alex had been living with Kafil at the time, and when Kafil's home had finished being rebuilt, he allowed Alex to stay in the building, as there were not enough supplies to store in the building. he building had been modified after the storm to make it more suitable for living. It contains four separate rooms: A kitchen (just contains a stove that is more like a fireplace, a wooden counter made for cooking and cutting foods, and a wooden table and chairs, a gift from Andrew [villager, see profile]; water is obtained from one of a few water pumps in the village), a bedroom (which contains a hammock she created with rope, a nightstand with drawers, also made by Andrew), and a chest Kafil gave her that she used in his home, which contains all of her clothes, a bathroom (which contains a wash basin, a few rags, and a tub for washing clothes; the village has outhouses for those that need to use the restroom), and a storage room, which holds her own supplies as well as that of some villagers. When there is a storm or other natural disaster, those with weak houses stay at Alex's place until the storm passes and their homes are rebuilt (if needed).

Trying to drag my Geometry grade up for third quarter. My teacher only has like, 4 or 5 grades in it. And we got interims yesterday. >.> It's the ONLY B I have. Driving me NUTS. Anyone else here frustrated with a class right now?

Well, I was bombing my AP Literature class. Managed to pull it up though. And Geometry just generally grates my nerves.

Math in GENERAL annoys me. But I usually don't have to worry about it this much. >.>

I never liked math, but geometry is hell. Not to mention that my geometry teacher is the worst, most evil teacher I have ever had.

No one likes my Geo teacher. He can be a bit of a jackass. Not the worst teacher I've ever had, but I definitely would NOT envy anyone who just got assigned his class.

Well, for the geometry teachers at my school, you either get the woman or the idiot who doesn't know what she's teaching. No exaggeration.

I can believe it. It's rare to find a good math teacher. They're out there, yeah, but rare.

Yeah, I hate math, but my 6th and 7th grade math class wasn't horrible. We has the same math teacher both years, and she was amazing.

My 8th grade teacher was good. My 6th and 7th sucked, and I kinda dislike my current teacher (as I've already mentioned.) But my 8th grade teacher was A.) A good teacher and B.) A GOOD teacher. Like, good at teaching the subject and good as an actual teacher.
