Not fan of it either. There ARE many sprites involved and I personally don't find it worth it to have so many sprites just to have a different coloured pokemon.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...

I'll just re-iterate this by saying that we won't be having fake-mons or anything like that.
They'll just be a lot of work, impossible to balance - and frankly, people are complaining about Gen V? I don't think they'll like Delidisc. Or Caterfetch'd.

There would be no point, and it would just make the game worse.

Now, onto the idea that Fry mentioned on changing Pokemon types when they get to 100 or whatever - I fail to understand why we'd do this too.
Most Pokemon would be pretty bad as a different type - like, Grass Blastoise would have a hard time doing much with all its water moves.

Would the team be expected to balance each Pokemon for all their other elements? Or would it just be like, an additional 'joke' mode?
Would anyone even play this Joke mode?
Would it be worth our time?

Hmmm... actually I can see the appeal in the Joke mode. Could be interesting.
Maybe we could have a mode that takes 12 pokemon that you select, randoms their types, and then you get to choose 6 to battle with. Maybe swaps around their abilities too.
Or something.

Could be fun.
Not a release feature though. XD
Definitely not anything that could be used in tournaments, or against regular teams, of course.
So it would be like a joke-y setting. Like Zubat Clause.
