For me its between Squirtle and Cyndaquil. Squirtle has always been my favorite pokemon from the show but cyndiquil has to be my favorite from the game even though he was in only one version (gold/silver/crystal). If i can get both i'll be happy so it doesn't matter which one i start with. But if i could choose any pokemon to start with it would have to be Zangoose hands down.

You will be able to catch all non-legendary pokemon. That includes starters. The one you choose to be your actual starter will be bound to you, however, and you will not be able to trade or release it.

Whoever I choose is going to be part of my 'Storyline Team' (Gyms, basically) anyway. I'm not going to get rid of any of them.

There are now 3 fire/fighting starters, but I agree torchic is the best out of them.

My favorite overall would be Mudkip although.

Is it just me or does everyone like fire pokemon over grass and water starters all the time :) i'm included i love all the fire's Charizard is Dragon/Fire Love it Typhlosion is the only pure fire u would think Blaziken Fighting/Fire and Infernape is like Typhlosion with Flame Wheel but it can also use other attacks like Mach Punch and even supposed to use Dig very very cool.
BTW Favorite Grass== Sceptile He's soooo awesome with speed and Leaf Blade
Favorite Water== Blastoise He's just a total Tank. Dont like Swampert cuz Ground/Water makes him kinda vulnerable to even water attacks but electric doesnt affect him so i guess thats alright :)

Ya know i love fighting types and on top of that Fire nd ive used Infernape and the moves he can learn and his ability just awesome so i don't get why hes one of the least voted but hey your loss
