I like mudkip but i don't leik mudkipz. (There is a difference)
But charmander is by far the greatest starter ever, followed by chimchar then, you guessed it... mudkip.

I think I would have to choose mudkip myself. Swampert(sp), with his water/ground combo will smash the other starters.  :P But I will most likely get to test out the new starters in Black/White before I get to play, so I might end up changing my mind. Dunno yet.

Almost forgot. Why isn't pikachu one of the starters? Are we forgetting yellow version. XP

I wouldn't mind Pikachu being a starter, as long as they let me evolve it into Raichu. That's the main thing that bugged me. I know the show's Pikachu doesn't care to evolve, and there is a valid reason for it to wait, but after learning agility it should be ready to evolve. Possibly light screen.

Raichu is not a bad pokemon. It has good stats where it counts, and decent special defense coupled with light screen. There's your defense against water attacks, as well as helping against grass attacks.

Of course I'm mainly talking about the first generation here. Pre light ball, or physical water/grass attacks.

Yeah I agree.  While I don't know if the PU team will make pikachu a starter (it doesn't look like they will), I would have no problem with it.  I think it could be interesting and I also agree it should be able to evolve. (In yellow i always traded it to another version evolved it, then traded it back.)



Reshiram as a starter!?
