do you always let your pokemon evolve?

I always evolve my pokemon except on two conditions:
1. I'm Making an evolution set
2. I let my Pikachu keep the Light Ball.

Yep. Thats the only reason i would hold them back from evolving, I always want the last evolution even if the Pre-evolution looked better.
Steel:
I don't evolve them on the level they evolve. I usually evolve the starter at around level 20-25. Otherwise, I evolve them at around 10 levels after when they actually are meant to evolve, unless they're happiness-based evolutions like Crobat or Umbreon, then I just let them evolve.
