He mentioned crystal, which had an outdated program when it came to probabilities, so it is plausable to catch one of three dogs with a regular pokeball in one shot. I remember catching lugia like that in that game, but my crystal broke. :(

only shiny ive gotten so far in soul silver is eevee which i traded to platinum and evolved it to leafeon because shiny leafeon is so cute just like my girl friend
Your girl friend is a shiny Leafeon? How do you two... yaknowww.
lol well she does have a leafeon costume being made ^ ^ im helping her sort of im not good at sewing yet lol so yes once she is wearing that costume she will be a leafeon^ ^ and ass for the second part, 2 words, doggy style :P
That brings up yet another question, are the eeveelutions dogs?
they are canines foxes or vulpins to be exact

What's with all of you guys with way too much luck >:(
I've never seen any shiny in-game (except the shiny gyarados which everybody has on the GSC games). I only found and caught 2 of the legendary dogs in that game BTW. I never encountered the third one, so I couldn't track him with my pokédex. When catching legendaries, it always costs me ALOT of ultraballs (if they don't flee, what happens even more). I am jealous  :'(

Use quick balls instead.

Use a status inflicting move, then let it run, false swipe, let it run, etc until it gets weak. Then just track it around using 1 quick ball.

To get the roaming pokemon, you just need to make as if you know where they are, and sooner of later, they'll appear :P

Always worked for me. Same as for shinys... I caught the first 'other' shiny at the foot of Mount Silver in my Silver, it was a ponyta. I somehow told myself that the next one would be onewhere to the right of slowpoke well and I went there... to get a shiny Ekans! :o

Shortly though... the most tragic thing happened... I lost my console with the cartridge inside :(

No, you'll get the rainbow wing from a guy when you've caught the 3 dogs.

I think you have to go to talk to a guy in Pewter City after you catch the three dogs. Or maybe you have to have seen a certain amount of pokemon in your pokedex. I don't really remember.

Neither.

The man will give you whatever wing you need, regardless of whether you caught any of the dogs. I have yet to catch any of them in Silver or SS, and I've gotten the wing from him every time.
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.

Indeed, if it's Silver or SoulSilver, you get the Rainbow Wing from that man.
Otherwise, you get the Silver Wing.

But you must have an migrated Groudon/Kyogre to get Rayquaza.

This is true, but that's not the point I was trying to make Jerry.
What I was trying to get across was the fact that you have Suicune, Entei, or Raikou is irrelevant involving the man in Pewter City.
