Hi, I'm not new to pokemon, but haven't played in a good while.  I borrowed Fire Red from a friend and got back into the groove.  I remember when I was younger there was this online game you could play pokemon, but we had slow dial-up back than and I don't know what happened to it.  Anyone remember that?

Thought it would be cool to look it back up, be nice to do something while I write papers and stuff, and I suppose I'll give a helping hand if I can, but I don't think there's much I can do to help...

Welcome, Might you be suggesting Pokemon Crater? It's original creator stopped doing it shortly after Generation IV came out, and then a few months later some other people took it over and made it terrible. Now, it's loaded with fakemon such as Golden Turtwig and Golden Chimchar, and Rainbow Ponyta. There's also an advertisement about every 5 seconds, and its browser based and its almost impossible to trade or have a PvP battle. I hated it when the original site shut down, I had a really strong Lapras and I had almost beat Lt. Surge.
