Ok first off this is mainly an enquiry, in the pokemon games, many of them, some pokemon can only be evolved through specific methods, most noteably trading (all other methods im cool with) such as kadabra and haunter (for example) can only be evolved in some of the games to alakazam and gengar if they are traded, is this going to be implemented or not, personally im kind of 50/50 on this i think it has its pro's and cons and im thorn so i would like to hear your ideas and toughts :) thanks.

Secondly a character class system, maybe like once you reach a certain trainer level, or leave the "beginner area", you get to choose if you want to be a watcher, trainer, master, breeder, collector, and so on and each "class" has its own ups and downs, for example collectors have a slightly higher chance to catch pokemon, trainers pokemon gain like 5% more xp, masters pokemon get a slight damage bonus (or something like that), watchers have a slightly higher chance to find semi-rarer pokemon, and breeders have a slightly higher chance to get better pokemon form eggs (or maybe something along those lines, lol), obviously this can be elaborated on and perfected but i wanna know what yous think of it and maybe some more ideas towards it :) thanks.

Maybe would it be possible to implement a "hearthstone" system into the game, like its and item/pokemon/ability that teleports you/flys you/(insert other form of fast/instant transport here) you, to maybe like one specific location per "island/region" such as the "main city" or your last pokecenter used, and that item/pokemon/ability is given like a 30 or 60 min cooldown or even more, also could make it so it cant be used while in caves and areas like that, i've always found systems like that to be very handy but not OP ya know.

I see the purpose... but when someone wants to shift faction? ::)

I can clearly imagine some people getting the easier to find pokemon, then change faction to get the other set of rare pokemon.

Or we might get three friends choosing different factions, they trade the 'rarer' pokemon to each other, thus nullifying the exploration factor.

Good point, but possibly the option to change faction just shouldnt exist, and could do something like no cross faction trading, seeing as they would technically be opposing factions, interactions like that wouldnt make sense, like was said at the begining "dark and light side" "good and evil" it could also give leway for some very interesting events, also the tournements could be more interesting if you had opposing faction teams for example, kind of like horde and alliance in WoW but without the language barrier and location restrictions.

The problem is that this is an MMO, it'll be a huge work I guess to make it the way you just mentioned, Skilganon. Some pokemon will be programmed to be less rare to a group, others to another group and those who don't want to be in any (that might happen) will have another programming for the pokemon availability, and neither of three should overlap to keep things smooth.

Thats true, but each "faction" could have different starting locations lets say, and each starting location has different starting pokemon, and it would be harder to get to these locations for the opposing "faction" which not only keeps each faction semi_unidue to the other it will also motivate players to explore a bit more for the sake of increasing the number of pokemon they have, if that makes any sense, lol.

I think having opposite "factions" is a good idea, but the stealing pokemon idea i dont like, its a bit much, something along those lines is good though, jus not as extreme as taking someones pokemon, lol. Like different faction quests, maybe each faction gets access to different pokemon easier than the other (can still get the other pokemon jus not as easy as ur opposing faction and visa versa)

i like it, not really a useful thing towards gameplay really, but still a fuin thing to have and would probably be a great place for Rp (if there is going to be RP) or just somewer to hang out.

I mmo's that i've played i always feel that a player inspection option was a good idea so yea, i think it shud be put in, also that one about the average pokemon lvl, i like that it would make pvp more fair knowing that your not challanging someone with pokemon 10 times stronger than yours, lol.

I really really like this idea, and i think with a bit of work and tought put into it it can be perfected and i feel it should definitly be implemented :) Great post.

In PWO they have it so that you get money from wild pokemon, and sometimes random items, if it wasnt for the insane lagg i would be playing it, lol, but yea money from wild pokemon.

Maybe like a wager option for battles, like if you battle a player character you can set an amount, or choose to set an amount (option not to also der) to bet on the battle, maybe with a minimum and maximum limit. Does that make sense? lol
