in regards to the actual game of soul silver, i was kinda fearing the worse due to the last few games (diamond and pearl), but this game is actually a lot better than all the other pokemon games i've played, including the original silver and gold games. gamefreak really outdid themselves on this remake. i really suggest that anyone who has a ds (which if you don't have any of the new games and are on this forum, posting things, i don't understand how you could do that)
get this game. i personally loved the silver game better, but they're essentially the same game since you can get both ho-oh and lugia.

well in the new anime, the trainers are allowed to scan the attacks that the pokemon can do before they battle the pokemon. like not what they can do in the future, but what they can do at the time. i'd like this feature in the game so i can actually see which pokemon are the strongest...

y'all got it all wrong. second gen is the best. the first gen was more of a "yeah, that's good. let's *try* that" while the second was more of the "now that we know what we're doing..."

dang...they took all the good ones... primarily the chimchar evolution...i mean, what happened? Charizard=beast. Typhlosion=even beastlier. but Infernape?  really? a joke?

i personally don't like the idea. what i'm thinking is if the ubber gamers with the high level pokemon team up and completely defeat the purpose of this idea. i mean it's a great idea, but there need to be a limit on it.

i see both sides of the story here. i mean realistically, we're not going to let go of a pokemon that faints...
but like they said it's way too easy if we allow what you said. i think that we should just let the game play be like the nintendo creators made it in this instance...

and that's why i'm smart and always keep my party stocked up with one pokemon that's has all those crappy moves...the thing that bugged me the most was the fact that i forget to save right before battling a legendary and then, either realizing that i either don't have enough pokeballs (and all the corresponding catching devices) or that my pokemon are too strong to get it within range of capturing it without dying...

but still, i don't like the point of this. i mean, there're already enough things in the pokemon world that fully heals a pokemon's health...i think it's way too unnecessary

personally, i use my starter pokemon (i normally always use a fire type. they're really strong and typically faster than most of the others). second, i use a pokemon like geodude and train the heck out of it, teaching it moves like rock throw, magnitude/earthquake, explosion, the strong moves. the reason behind this, even though it's a slow pokemon, it's a really strong pokemon and has a really great defense. third, i use an electric type. back in the second generation games, i chose a mareep and evolved it to an ampharos. this beast of a pokemon isn't fast, but what a punch. third, for the pseudo-legendaries, i use an ice type, because it's always a dragon type, and as we all know, they're weak against ice. for the last one, i leave these open. i like to train all my pokemon so i put an exp. share on one of them and have a way to travel from town to town. using this team formula, i managed to win every single battle i've encountered and won the elite four (though this isn't the biggest feat in the world) over 50 times.

pikachu also should have evolved by now too i don't care if its a nyerking show mascot Raichu is so much cooler in my opinion!!! plus it would become even more of a major power house in ash's arsenal( even though because ash gets beaten easily wouldn't matter much)
also any1 know how old should actually be??? i mean shouldn't he be at least 16... isn't it a bit weird that a 16 year old is traveling with like a 10 year old(dawn) and brock probably around 17 - 18
no, ash should be around...thirty...and brock...well into his fourties...
