« on: July 06, 2010, 08:59:37 PM »
Type: Easy Minor/Side Quest

Setting: house located in a forest (Any forest added in PU0

Appropriate Level:8+

Description: you enter a house located in a forest and a stranger see's you entering he asks if you have any pokemon. you say yes he then tells you if you can help him get back his crystal which was given to him from his grandpa and is the only memory he has of him. he tell"s you that a few day's ago he was studying some strange plant's that seem to have not been discovered before. but while he was crouching to take a look at it he fell to his stomach and his grandpa's crystal fell out of his pocket. he picked it up and held it to the sun because it had a marvelous glow but while he was doing that he had not noticed that some wild pokemon have been staring at it. while he was about to put it back in his pocket they attacked him and the crystal had been dropped from his hand and was taken. he was alright but he had to get that crystal back since it means alot to him.
after that you look for it then when you find it their are 4-5 grass pokemon guarding it (any grass pokemon level 5-8) you defeat them all and take the crystal and you take it back to the guy and he say's thank you so much please take this reward as gratitude.

Reward:the mysterious plant he found (it heals your pokemon a certain amount of hp)
and anything else you would like to add.

Very nice, simple but nice. One thing i think can be improved is the difficulty of it, getting the crystal seems pretty easy it would be better if the pokemon guarding the crystal were higher lvl.

Hrm... Well, I'm more of a man who spins an Epic every time he comes up with an idea for a quest, but I like this. It's very simple and whatnot. Sounds like the kind of thing you'd have to do in the handheld games to get an HM or something.
Just one thing: If the plant just heals your pokemon slightly, than it seems like a worthless quest. what if it had unlimited uses, but you could only use it in-battle, you could only use it once per battle, and it healed 50 hp, ya know, sorta like an emergency potion, if you ran out during a tough battle?

I was thinking that the reward could be changed from one plant that heals your Pokemon, to about 5 revival herbs, which revive your Pokemon to full health.

Well, the thing is, that something along those lines would be an unreasonably tasty prize for such a low-level quest.

That would probably be better. Or, you could get one revival herb from him, and the ability to buy them from him in the future. (For a high price, though)

That sounds quite good, for a low level quest. It does sound like a quest you would find in MMORPGs also.

Oh, I just realized something. Why would the pokemon be GUARDING the crystal? Doesn't that seem kinda, I dunno... odd behavior? Maybe you go to grab the crystal, and a bunch of nearby pokemon attack you for the crystal.

The crystal possesses mystical powers, methinks.

well the reason they are guarding it is because the way it glow's and none of them want people to get it (in other word's it's like they are possesed).

Nice and simple.

I may have an idea of making a little more lengthy to complete the quest... nevermind, good job :)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...
