This is the chat for the RP. If you are going to battle another character, please settle the outcome here, or through PM. Use this thread to ask questions, or suggest new ideas.
There will be a time frame. Time will change when enough active players are ready for it to change. State so here.
remember, the entire place is a large city that has been demolished. The sectors of the underlands are north, south, east, and west. How the sectors get determined is how you guys post. If a specific sector is not named, then you guys are considered close to the center, under utopia.
Utopia is the city of silver and gold, and can be seen floating, due to technology, high above the underlands. The only way there is by hover lifts. Hover lifts are only usable by paladins and guards, and are heavily guarded. However, the rebels have a way to get to the city, it's just not revealed yet.

Central city is there, but utopia is above that.

Someone did. It was meowth. But I'm going to let bing be able to post his bit, then I'll give you guys something to work with for a while. I already have the first huge event planned, and if we do make it there, I may keep the RP moving on.

And if I have anything to say about it, there may be an accident that occurs. If any of you has played the board game DnD, I am the dungeon master, and I can change events around you guys, but my events will work with the story. Now, I need more monsters, robots, and NPC's. If I have an arsenal at my fingertips, I can make things very interesting for all of you.

Lugia. There is no forest. I forgot the map. The underlands are the ruins of the old city, with only a few buildings standing, and makeshift shacks. Utopia is the gold and silver kingdom that floats in the sky. Very few trees in the under lands.

Cortex said he forgot the map, so I can only assume thats coming. And yes, we will probably be meeting up soon. To tell you the truth, I think we might just be closer to each other than we think.
Edit: I'm finally doing that thing with the music that I said I'd do in every RP I've ever joined!
By the way, Cortex. If you're in the mood to make an event for my character, please do so. I don't want to keep you bored in your own RP.

And about areas, since there is no formal map, I will find something, and label landmarks for you guys to use. This may take a while to find however. I will give you an event though. A coin flip decides which one takes place though. 8)

Hey cortex, would it seem logical that someone else would be in the hospital besides me and the grenchler? Its somewhat "safe" if you avoid the monster filled areas, most of the wings probably have food, and if there is a monster you could lure it where a more vicious monster is.

I do have an idea for the map though. Use a blank map of Amestris, and fill in towns, villages, important landmarks and the like. That's what I would do to make it easy, but it's just an idea.

Time change, and weather change. Note on weather, Utopia always experiences clear weather, so any other weather that is not clear only affects the underlands. The area under utopia is in it's huge shadow, so that place means no rain and very little sun depending on the time of day.

@Ayara, they all are the same for now. I'm going to see how you guys interpret the areas yourselves. If some areas are left out, I will put something for you guys. In fact, if you go and read soem of the monster profiles I will put later, I will have where they are located, and how many travel around at once, so you guys can have that as a reference.
@darkstar- yeah, that makes sense, but the lady will be a reappearing character, until I decide, or until you catch her.

On your post Jimmy. I see very OP. Think of a limit. I suggest this, you cant attack anything during a time freeze due to accelerated molecules. And you cant teleport things away, you can take them with you if you want, it needs to be in contact at all times until the teleport is complete. Just a suggestion.

Alright, looks better. However, by request of others, they want to know if you can drop the time stop, and just keep teleport. They don't like the idea of someone being able to beat them by freezing time.

Granchlars are pretty much impossible to kill without a lead weapon, but they are really stupid, so you only need to outsmart it. And its a group monster, so you can control its actions.

Later today, i will ad five new monster groups, and 3 robot groups to give you guys more ot work with. each one will be in a specific area. Oh, and the south west corner of the map is an area known as the robot graveyard, and place where parts, and lead shells, can be found in abundance. That is a new area to explore for those that wish to have an change in story path. I will attempt to mark it on the map soon.
EDIT: Whatthepumkin will be a part of this, but if you do not see the profile in the profile section, do not complain. I am working on new monster groups for you guys, and will post her's when I am done there.

Shock's in Central City, where he receives quests from the rebels. I'm not too sure about anything else, though :P

Remember, rebel quests, and paladin quests, will need to be vague. You can do a quest like exploring an area, or fighting off a horde of monsters. You can't do a quest that changes the main story, or is trying to obtain a special item for the main story. You can do anything else, just don't mess with the story. After everyone settles for a bit, and the time change happens, I will start the first big event, which will continue until it is complete. You know it ends when a huge boss battle happens. Just a warning, the bosses of this RP, will be solely controlled by me, no one will be able to control them.

As I posted before, monster groups are plentiful. You can have them appear by you, you get to control them. Special characters need to be asked permission for. So yes meowth, you can have a psycho roam into your location, there are plenty more for people to fight.

Hehehe, I understand about the whole quest thing. I was looking more towards Shock just being a messenger and scouting areas. I would of have never thought of any story-changing things like even being a bounty hunter or whatnot~

Well, I'm the guy who runs everything, makes it easier to give everyone something to work with. I am still working on organization, as this is the first RP I started, but I'm running the GM concept for this one.

Lexie, first-yes, he is involved. He should be doing something soon, I should think. Second, when you try to give your nickname a password, try waiting a minute before inputting the info. cuz when i tried, it kept telling me "you must have been using the nick for 30 seconds to register it."

well, if u registered, it should say "imput the code from your confirmation email below" or something...and you'll get an email, with a code. put the code there and hit okay.

Was just wondering, I can drop events at any time, but who would like one now to work with. Just name your area, and I will do something that is appropriate for that area. Oh, and the event is up to a coin flip, so it may benefit you, or it may put you in a tough spot.

If the character ur talking about sounds like the sort of idiot who could get himself turned into a fish...then it's very accurate. If you want the story, ask Lexie, as i don't know how he did it myself....also, he gets sad when someone *coughAyaracough* informs him of the fact that "Ring around the Rosy" is actually about the black plague. And he annoys ayara so much she starts dunking his head underwate-actually, I'm going to stop talking now.

yes, ring around the Rosy is about the Black plague. think about it. "Ring around the rosy, pockets full of posy..." Posy to try and keep "clean" (relatively) and not sick. "ashes, ashes" the bodies of black plague victims were burned to prevent them spreading the disease. "we all fall down" basically, we all fall dead.

I know, and it's always a good idea to have one. Microsoft word has a good one, but you can add things to your dictionary. Google chrome automatically checks your spelling, so if you're strapped for cash, I would go with that.

A quick Google search can get you a free grammar/spell checker. All you have to do is download it.

Im going to take a good guess and say everyone is ready for a time change. Time to move this forward. Remember, Utopia will have a weather barrier that prevents rain and the like from affecting the streets. The central area is basically shielded from this as well, but can get flooded. Every other area will be affected differently, it will start over utopia, and move South East. The western part is going to be seeing patches of sun, but no rain. Just remember that and you guys will be fine.

I really don't see it as a huge deal. I mean, having correct punctuation can be nice, but as long as it's readable i see no problem. I think we should all just stop arguing. If Cortex thinks it's against the rules, he'll say so, and that will be that.

I received your PM rocks. The education in Utopia is standard: grade school, high school, college. It's very refined, and the best any one can get. The underlands however, do not have an education system, but follow a medieval caste system. What that means is you're born into a trade, and you learn that trade, and if you don't, you either become a trader, a beggar, or a run away.
Le Edit: Lugia, post is smaller than required content. Please modify. Merchants carry junk , spare parts, and basic weaponry, plus he is not a special character, you can control him, but he has no money, and will only do fair trades. For small post, you have one warning.

Hey rocks, you post does not mention the crisis in Utopia at all. I'm sure a school full of faculty and students would hear about insectoroths attacking. Not only that, you didn't even bring up the fact that construction is going on as well. The idea of RPing is not only to write as a character, it also requires a bit of reading as well.

EDIT: Once meowth makes his post, the first event will commence. It will not be a quick thing, it will have to do with deciding the fate of Utopia, and the underlands altogether. So it may take a while. Expect great moments of writing battle sequences, discoveries, losses, and gains.

I put the reason, and mistake or not, I can't take a chance. This is one of few RP's on PU that people are interested in, whether it's participating, or just reading. If something happens to where I need to shut it down, I may end up disappointing people. That includes people who send in profiles, I need to evaluate them before I know they will actually take writing a collective story seriously.

The problem lies in the Dr. Weil's character. He likes living test subjects. Not robots. I think you might want to reevaluate your character's back story a bit. Also he doesn't have special anything. Everything to him is just another test subject.

EDIT: I think I'll go organize the profile section so we can be more clear about what can be controlled, what needs permission, and what is exclusive to one person. Remember, weapons are not exclusive as they can be stolen, and monsters are open to use in posts, aas well as robot groups. I also see a lack of organization profiles, but I'll leave that to anyone that wants to create an organization they would be a part of.

As with most characters in this RP, the boy is a plain npc. The way you work the story will decide if he becomes a recurring character for some strange reason, or if he appears, and leaves forever. He could be some kind of assassin, or a plain boy.

Lugia, Zigarex are the intelligent monsters due to their strategic hunting, and they do travel in packs. The grenchlar are the idiots that work alone, but are successful for some reason. I'll get the ball rolling for the first event tomorrow, as I am still writing it, and the profiles for the exclusive chartacters. I will reveal the rebel leader, the Utopia leader (will be exclusive), and a few others who will be part of this opening. And don't worry, there will be a lot to work with. So, a little warning, mentioning anything related to leaders from here on out will count as Gmodding. Bing is safe since I introduced him breifly, so no raging on him.

Ok, I could just be given one. If mother hears they're canceling me. She'd do something about it. And my last post mentioned that the new injection is meant to give me emotions. About that letter Cortex... Uallgarg is in big trouble. and he doesn't have an address for the letter to come to.

It's quite simple fox. Wrench has access to a network of spies, warriors, and self made robots. He also has these tiny bots called spy flies, which look like flies. He can see and hear all, and he can send out people accordingly through their communicator. So a rebel fighter can find you easily, and be able to hand you the letter, as well as protection. This allows people to think of many different ways to receive the letter, and get out of a jam if they need to. Oh, and not everyone in the underlands are friendly towards the rebels, and the rebels refrain from killing people.

Utopia uses platforms that act like elevators. They can hold 15 average weight people at a time, and rise and fall at a fast pace.

I have a problem. Granchlars are tough to kill even with a lead weapon, and the sword would bounce off their armored bodies. At the first sign of lead, they run, fast. just edit that, and it will be fine.

Exactly. To just be in control is gmodding, but to have a trigger is not, as all crazy people have a trigger that can temerarily snap them out of something, but they lapse back into the episode they're having.

Well, if it's important enough to him, then write a situation where it's in immediate danger, and he breaks for just a few seconds to call out "don't let it get broken" or something. Or, there could be a situation where he himself is about to destroy it but he breaks and stops himself. just a few ideas.

Other RPers had been waiting for the time change, and it was taking us a while to finish the event. I said we were dragging this out too long because I didn't want to hold up the other RPers any longer than we - again, not just you - already had. Basically, you were taking what I said out of context.

There isn't anything that would give my character's fire hound any implication to start looking for the rebel base unless you do something like hold the letter to his nose so he can sniff it out. I decided to make wrench a walking conundrum. No one knows his reasoning at first, but it always works no matter what. HE didn't need to mention it since people could make the comparison if they knew Axyl. And the only ones that don't know is Fox's character, and lugia's. Ayara and WTP met you outside the base, so they were already introduced.

I won't. As mentioned, He took a fatigue hit before. It's going to be more apparent, as it slowly sets in. Slowly, since he only took one.
Also that last part was stealth. It's much easier to be over-powered when they don't know you're there.

OMG Darkstar! You should name the dog Cerberus! I mean, it's up to you, but Cerberus is the name of the three headed guard dog of the underworld in Greek mythology. It would just be kinda cool.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm waiting for that moment to come up. Right now, there's no reason for my character, his dog or even his weapon, to have names yet. Once it becomes an issue for my character, then I'll do that.

You just pick a number. Just keep in mind that the number is "pre-determined", but you can make a post where the guard says something along the lines of "Looks like you'll need a bigger room. I'll just assign you to ###." You know, something like that.

Ayara, did you character touch the pillow? I think I told you the power had to be touch related to prevent being OP, and only had a temperary effect. Correct me if I didn't tell you that.

I don't remember you telling me that...But she DOES have to be able to imagine the object. So, she has to know what it looks like. like, if his pillows looked different than hers, it wouldn't have worked, because she wouldn't have been able to picture it properly. Is that sufficient? Or should I go back and edit it...? And I never really thought about the whole temporary thing. But it can be. she just normally changes stuff back before it runs out of time.

How about ranged is temperary, and touch is however long you maintain contact, but after that, it changes back in a short time.

No snow for this region. The reasoning is to keep the wasteland feel for the underlands. Also, looks like people read our RP for the story, and are enjoying it. Keep up the good work guys, and maybe after this one is done, I will design another one for you all to participate in. I don't plan on making a pokemon based one unless there is a large demand for it, so expect mine in other roleplay.
Aqua, remember that you have access to the battle drones when in the training hall, and it's up to you on how you want the training to go, while everyone else reacts as always. You lead, they respond, and it goes like that until the time change, which will happen at random, there will be no ready for a change. This will make it feel as though the training went overtime, and may have ended before the change, or went into the change.
And about Ko, well, you'll just have to read.

He was a human engineer long ago who built a small army of robots that dug into the cliff for years, started the base, and then created a more advanced robot meant to look harmless as his vessel for all eternity. Oh, and the hearing aid helps him hear everything around him, so nothing can sneak up on him. Yes, the old robot is more advanced than any machine. Why, because a human mind controls it.

Engineer, robots, it went together. I'm going to reveal something. He helped build Utopia when he was a human, and using the plans that they would not allow, he put them into action when everything went to hell, designing a fully mechanized base meant to detour intruders.

Lugia, combat training is in the evening. Burr, there are no cattle, but there are caravans of rebels delivering food. They travel in 4's, and they are NPC's, so you can do whatever you want with them. That is all.

Probably. I actually still have to work out the details of the scenario. I'm really good at imagining stuff, but I have to be careful to make sure when I'm describing it that there's enough details for OTHER people to imagine it. (i daydream a lot.) But yeah. I'm thinking of a couple of different ways to do so...But those won't be up for a little while, at least. ;)

Allow me to explain. "glomp" is generally an anime/fangirl/fanboy/fan person in general term for a bear or tackle hug. (although it doesnt have to be. We just use it more.) You know, like the way you run up and hug your best friend after not seeing them in forever. Or if you're hugging them from behind or something to surprise them.
Do you read/watch any anime or manga? (This isn't just a fangirl question.) If there's one you read that I recognize, I could give you a scene from it as an example.

She also bugged me about 02, who I drew in class. Apparenty, my new design for him makes people want to know if I need to go to therapy. So yeah. To start, we began speaking in here, and not just the roleplay.
Then, after some random disscussions, I mentioned that Shock's normal skelton is a Neko who's lactose intolerant-
-and I mentioned that he needs supervision in a kiddie pool. That lead to Solomon-
-pushing Leeta into the pool. Leeta was not happy, being part cat. So I pushed him in and told him to help her.
He did so, and she promptly began to beat him up for pushing her in in the first place.
Then, because she broke his leg-
He ordered her to go get him metal to fix it. And she-
-got angry at being ordered around, and broke his OTHER leg.
And is now, as you can see... *wave hand in direction of Leeta and Solomon* ...strangling him.
(I love how no one comments about they're abilities to finish each others thoughts and talk in harmony. XD)

Aqua, the bots only go to level 10, which is the highest level. That level can kill a person if they are not careful, since the bots move faster, and hit harder. I'm sorry, but this is your warning. One more and I will have to kick you.

They only went to 10. You can even read the profile. Dealing with 1 level 10 is not hard, but make it 3 or 4, then you will have your hands full. Any more is dangerous.

Just a note, the cane is Wrench's source of power. Without it, he is just an indestructible robot. It will also be featured in a quest, which will happen the next RP day.
And I know what you guys are thinking, "Why doesn't he use manual controls?" It's very simple, he can't move fast without the cane, in fact, he can't move at all. The cane was actually moving his body (SciFi rules), and he used it to get around. So you're basically looking at a talking robot that can't move its limbs.

I'm going to have to say no only because it would be sad for an abrupt stop to the action. Also, Wrench is the only person that can deactivate a collar once it has been activated.

We were supposed to fight, but bots went nuts. Killed bots, then emp shut down the base and wrench. Also my collar is off. Since the EMP knocked it out as well, and I broke it.

Anyway, on the topic of the RP...um...okay! How did people come up with the ideas for their characters?
"Ayara" Is a typical skeleton that I use for tons of stuff. I just modify her as need be. And Artemis was originally just something for Utopia Ayara's past, but I actually wound up creating a full-blown character out of her. XD

Mine was a combination of many things. I read through the RP and thought that this was the perfect place to have another character with mental problems and a troubled past.
A little Kingdom Hearts here, a dash of inFAMOUS there, a teaspoon of Crash Bandicoot and a sprinkle of past RP's, and you're got yourself Nemo.

Nononono, actually, We're fine with you being delayed. She's really busy this week, so she'd be delayed in replying. Her question was concerning the characters, but I think she was afraid to ask it before the roleplay was considered " near completion" because she was afraid it might affect how the other RPers will be affected. But, I'm not going to ask it until she tells me to since I'm not afraid to talk to adults since it's her question, not mine.

I couldn't really see a way around it. If he gives, he bleeds out, and dies. If he stops the blade, he bleeds out and dies. A hole in your stomach is a slow death, and would be hard to close up in the conditions laid out. So to keep some realism, a delusional coma seemed the route, and a more fun outcome.

Yeah, there seems to be one thing wrong here, can't put my finger on it. Oh, I know, it's not in the RP. just quote yourself, past it into the RP section, then delete the portion that ways quote. Easy transfer.

By this time, fox should already be talking to the imp elders, aqua might be waking up, ayara and WTP should be well on their way, and meowth should be on his way to his destination as well. OH, and nexalas should have reached the monster city by then, but I will be having the group that attacked the guys you need to heal meet you just outside.

I'd really like to see this RP revived, but it seems like all the regulars don't seem to post anymore. I was really hoping this RP would get finished, but I'd hope to see all the members reply before we open it again.
Also, I probably still wouldn't be able to write immediately, because I have a lot of catch-up reading to do, but I've also tried to make a post for this RP, but I've been having "writer's block" lately, and haven't been able to do any sort of writing. I'm trying to get back in the habit of writing, but it's a little difficult.
