So, I've got another weird-tastic story revolving around my Muay Thai instructor, if anyone's interested.

Alright, so I haven't really been telling my parents that I was taking 'private' Muay Thai lessons, so they really had no idea where I'd been. One day, I came home all bruised up and whatnot, and my mom had a seizure.  She kept insisting that I was dealing drugs or something, so I finally said,
"No, mom, I've been taking Muay Thai lessons from Kevin's old instructer."

My mom says, "...What's Moy Tie?"

My dad, who'd been on the computer until now, stands up, walks over to us, and says, "Muay Thai is a Martial Art from what is now Thailand. It focuses especially on the use of your knees and elbows. It's also one of the most dangerous in the world, because it's difficult to use effectively while still showing restraint."

So what does any mom do in this situation? She flips out, yells a lot, blames everyone she can think of, and then, of course, DEMANDS to meet Anurak.

The next day, we skipped training so he could meet my parents. around 3pm, we get a knock on the door. My mom marches over to the door all angry and ready to scream. I swear to god, when she opened the door and saw Anurak, her face lost all color.

He acts like he doesn't notice and says, "Hello, Mrs. [spoiler]Censored :3[/spoiler], how are you today?"

She just sits there for a few seconds, until my dad, who actually has a build a bit more like Bruce Lee - Muscular, but not HUGE - steps in.
"Hi, how's it going?" And as all men greet, they shake hands. "Come on in."

So we're sitting down at the kitchen table, my dad and Anurak are talking about me and Muay Thai, why they were concerned, why they think I did it, and stuff like that. My mom looks like she's trying to win the international 'akward contest'. Eventually I got up and went into my bedroom, to call a friend and tell him to 'just happen to stop by', so I can have an excuse to splidaddle. While I call him, I hear a crash, followed by something sliding, and then a lot of akward apoligies and whatnot.
I walk back in the kitchen, and there are, like, twenty boken plates on the floor, a sh*tload of water, and Anurak is holding up my kitchen table three feet in the air.
Uh... what the hell?
Apparently, my dad had dropped a fork on the ground, and Anurak went to pick it up for him. As he did, his shoulder got caught on the table and it fell over, sending all the breakable objects on it tumbling to the ground, along with a pitcher of water. He was holding the table up because he was trying to put it back.

In a nutshell, my Muay Thai instructor completely decimated my kitchen in about thirty seconds of me not being present. And guess what? My mom still hasn't said a word about him besides that he's gigantic. My dad says he likes him, so I guess I'm still allowed to take lessons.

I'm just a little pissed because my friend never showed up.

...In retrospect... yeah. She does live like... across the street from me. But both Anurak and my parents know her, so she'd probably have been invited in, rather than me being able to leave.
