Other Games / Age of Empires

I think it is probably the best strategy games ever made for the computer. I've played all three and currently own Age of Empires Gold, and Age of Empires III. Who else has it, we could play a game, or maybe if we have enough people a tournament

Well, moves were something you would have to learn from NPC's

So it would kind of be like the move vendors in the Battle Frontier of pokémon Emerald?

It looks very good, maybe the viewing angle could be higher though to fit more on the screen, also slightly off topic but will we be able to have variable zoom so we can zoom in/out to suit out tastes and the surrounding area, it just looks like you can't see enough from that screenshot.
The screenshot here is zoomed in, there is at the moment no variable zoom, however, you can see much more of your surroundings.

ok thanks for replying

Ideas & Suggestions / Server Shards
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:04:34 AM »
Well I searched a few different terms didn't find any threads about this, and also I'm new here so please if I put this in the wrong place move it for me.

So I was wondering about how the servers will be set up, will it be one server which every player plays on together (EveOnline), will it be a few different servers, and when you register you select one and that's the one that you're stuck on, or would it be lots of different servers and you can transfer your character between them whenever you want.

In my opinion it would be best if it was just one big server, though I'm not sure if this is possible for you guys to link your different servers together across continents (America and Europe), this would make it better for continuity as you can play with the same people and it would be the same for everyone. The second option would be alright, but my problem with that would be that some shards would end up being stronger than others, and also you wouldn't be able to play with/against your friends on other shards. I wouldn't like the third option at all as it would have zero continuity from session to session and it wouldn't form any resemblance of community, and also then the shards would end up being groups 'property' and would be controlled by that group.

Well thats just my two cents, Ill edit if i want to make it three ;)

New Trainers / Welcome / Re: New trainer hangout

Hi, my names Conor, I'm really into pokémon games and i have been for some time. My favourite pokémon are Charmander, Sandslash and Butterfree. I sometimes battle online but my favourite part of pokémon are the insanely epic storylines and also the way the game never stops as you can just keep going on trying to complete the pokédex and breed pokémon, and train up pokémon. I started off in pokémon with pokémon emerald, and that kept me occupied for the best part of three years until i got a DS and Diamond, then I loved Diamond. I recently got HeartGold when it came out. I've also acquired the original Pokémon Red, Pokémon Crystal, and also the TCG(which is pretty cool although unrelated), and I'm loving the way with Meboy i can play them on my phone, and they are amazing! the graphics in them are terrible compared to the recent games, but still you just love them and they are amazing(The storyline alone, and i also appreciate the simplicity, yet complexity) Well my ramble ends here, hope you've enjoyed my life story  ;D
