Ideas & Suggestions / Re: Something not to do

in case none of you have read anything of the website(which if you did this post wouldn't even exist), this game is not excepting ANY MONEY for themselves or for profit, this site is only collecting enough donations every month to only keep the servers running so we all can play the game. The PU team is working and doing this for free. Therefore there will not be a so call "item mall"

by having a wait period if you lose, it would make the game even more challenging, because you dont know the type of pokemon the gym leader will have and you dont know how strong they will be, so if you go into a gym battle and you can not win, you should not be able to jsut run back in and challenge him again. there should be a consequence for losing a battle because you were unprepared.

So if there is not a wait period( which I think there should be), then there should be some other consequence for if/when you lose.

-lose 25% or 50% of the current amount of money you have
-lose a trainer level
-your pokemon lose trust/friendship/loyalty level

This will make players prepare themselves for a battle, because then no one will want to white out because of the consequence.

This will make the game more challenging and unique.

Hey everyone, I know it isn't really my place to say this, but for anyone that hasn't noticed, The PU donations were not enough to make the quota for June.

To keep the game up and running, the PU team needs a certain amount of money to keep the server's up to make/test the game, as well as many other expenses. With out these donations the game will not be able to be finished and will be shut down. To keep this from happening we need to try to make the quota of donations EVERY month. this game needs at least $85.00 every month.

So for any one that can help I ask that you please do. Also if you do not have the money to donate there is still another way you can help. If you click the AD on this website once a day everyday. The PU team make a very little amount of money for every one that does this.

So please take this into consideration and help the team make money so they can finish making this game that everyone is waiting for.

Once again anyone who can donate even a very small amount, it all adds up and help this game, and if you can't then just simply click the AD every day. It all helps the game.

Thank You

well a coin should be flipped, or the trainer with the highest level has to send out 1st. something like that, or it could be made so that you can only choose which 1 you send out ONLY for gym battles, and it would be normal for all the other battles

Game Features / losing to a gym leader
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:16:04 PM »
I was thinking and I did search for this but was unable to find a topic.

I think if you lose to a gym leader, you shouldnt be able to just g to the pokemon center and then go right back to the gym.

There should be alike a time limit that you have to wait before you can challenge him/her again. like if you lose to gym A, you wont be able to challenge that gym leader for like 24 hours or until your trainer level, level's up. Something like that any way

this would actually make people think before they challenge a gym, they would have to make sure that they are fully prepared to challenge the gym leader.

anybody agree with me on this?

that brings another issue to my attention, in the show when the gym leader sends out a pokemon ash is able to just pick and choose which of his pokemon are best to battle with, so i dont know if i like the idea of just the "front" or 1st pokemon to automatically be sent out, esp. if you dont know the gym's type and what pokemon he/she would be using.

I think you should be able to go into a gym match and once the gym leader sends out a pokemon you can choose which 1 you want to send out.

Did you read through, Neo?

yes and there is nothing in this tread confirming that it will actually be in the game, only spirit mention something about it being in PU but he didnt say anything about it being or not being it the game he just said that he thinks PU should be working on the actually game because it would take too much time and work. unless you are talking about being in a different thread which I did not see (even though i searched "contest" and "pokemon contest" but i found nothing.

Hmm......lets see.

Half of you want to buy them, Half want to earn Stones.

So, There could be Evolution Stone Crafting, The materials needed should alltogether be less than the actual stone.
and have certain stones unable to make until a set skill level.

That way, People can make stones, then Trade to other players.

yeah i like that too, it would kinda be like a runescape skill, we could start of with something small like making pokeballs and once you get good enough at it you can make stones, great balls and all that

and you could get the materials to make them randomly in battles with wild pokemon

Maybe stones could be buyable, but for ridiculously high prices, except for a few times a year when the stones get really cheap, like a sale.

That actually sounds like a great idea. Have them high price but for a season or special event have them as a sale.

i think this would be ok as long as they are very high prices, like near the price of a bike(if there is a bike) I wouldnt like to just see everyone walking around with all the evolved forms of eevee's, it should be an accomplishment that you have o work hard for to achieve

Though Sunkern has the lower stats, I'm going to have tyo give it to magikarp for having absolutely no chance of being cometent in a battle.

At least with a Sunkern you can get a couple of super effective hits in before you flop over uselessly

glare*  oh yeah? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryC0hmZOEfc
(I posted this with my iPod, so I hope the link is good.)

In that video, the guy just kept buffing magikarp's stats and magikarp was 41 levels higher than the 1 pokemon, and he was still getting ****ed up.

so i hope you know that you did not defend magikarp at all, you just futher proven he is the weakest

Eh well, stat wise Sunkern is the weakest isn't it? But when it comes down just to a terrible move pool, yeah, I guess Magikarp wins that one. One move that does absolutely nothing, and Tackle. Not what you're going to win a battle with, especially considering its stats are horrible too, and Swift Swim downright fails in that situation.

hmmm you are right I just looked it up and got this

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_weakest_pokemon_in_the_world

magic does have a higher stat avg than sunkern by 20, but sunkern can learn more powerful moves. I learned something new today, thanks for calling me out on that info :-p
