My apologies about that guys, its my fault this happened...

I nodded my head down in disappointment, was I really that weak? Am I unable to get past even the first gym leader? So many questions went through my head, but then I snap out of it.

It's alright, I'm just sorry I couldent help, I guess I just got in the way...

I notice Steve approached him with a serious expression, but then he quickly made a clueless look. He then pokes him in the belly.

Did anyone ever tell you you're awfully feminine?

His Cyndaquil made a few noises and I take a better look at him.

Really? I don't see it...

I had a confused expression on my face.

What gave you the idea he was feminine? He seems like a guy.

It took a bit of observation, but I noticed it from your speech pattern, as well as from the fact that the first thing you noticed about his pokemon was how abused an unhappy they looked. It takes a caring girl to come to that conclusion first. Also, when your hat blew off, it became very apparent. Mostly the hair. But even now, there's evidence. Look at how you hold your Eevee.

I looked back up at Alex, smiling lightly.

But who knows, maybe I'm just an airhead.

I'll take my winnings now.

Well, either way, since the next town isn't terribly far I say we try getting there before nightfall. Cuz either way i need to heal my pokemon. All in favor?

"It's nothing you or your husband did. Jason, Fred's son, is abusing it, and I will not stand to allow a Pokemon to be abused. I wish to find it a proper home where it will be loved and appreciated for what it is."

She shook her head in a disproving manner. "I always knew that kid wasn't ready for the responsibly of raising a Pokemon... Too tell you the truth Otto, we aren't an adoption front for Pokemon, I wouldn't even know where to start to get this little guy a home." The Scraggy was hiding behind my leg, afraid that she was going to hurt him as she got down on eye level. "Accutaly I do have an idea," she looked up at me. "He seems to have taken a liking to you. Perhaps..."

I looked down at the Scraggy, and back at her. I had just given up my Durant for fear of abusing him, and here I was in the position to take another Pokemon under my wing... The Scrafty pulled on my pant leg breaking me out of my daze.

"I will care for him as long as He wishes to travel with me." At this Scraggy gently headbutted my leg, he was overjoyed, I wasn't sure how I felt...

I fumble around with the communicator trying to figure out how it worked, I tried pressing a button but it didn't work. I repeatedly pressed it until I figured it wasn't on. I flicked the switch and a red light shown.

"That will take a few days, but I don't mind...except... that means we probably won't get back here in time before Otto leaves, and I didn't leave my number. I don't want to just leave it to chance, you know?"She thought about it. "But I certainly wouldn't mind stopping by home and Olivine City..."
"Pharoros!" Zia's ears perked up at the mention of Olivine. The lighthouse!
"Yup, Zia, we could easily visit the lighthouse," his trainer said, guessing what he meant from the excitement. "We barely had time in Olivine when we came back, didn't we? And maybe I can set up a battle for us with Falkner!" Daisy got excited herself, and so did Faye who was in sync with her trainer. "Cel, that was a good idea, but only if you're okay with lots of side stops...."
