Other Games / Ultima Online

I know that it's an older online game, but I figured maybe a few people here have played it or still do.

I have a pretty decent account on Atlantic Server, millions in gold and a 17x17 house (1x1 less than the max size) that I have been trying to find a new home for. I no longer really play the game, but I don't want to lose everything I had or leave it to scavengers.

Let me know if anybody here plays... Maybe I can find someone to take the house...

LOTRO / Re: [LOTRO] Crafting

Nick: Pubbles
Character: Keanan
Vocation: Historian (Scholar, Weaponsmith, Farmer)
Needed resources: Aged Scraps of Text, Early Third Age Relic, Worn Tablet Fragment
Output: Crafting Buffs, Combat Buffs, Potions and Dyes

Nick: Pubbles
Character: Tormaigh
Vocation: Armourer (Metalsmith, Prospecting, Tailor)
Needed resources: Ores (I can find some myself, I'm still only level 16 =p) Leathers (lower ones)
Output: Heavy (metal) armor, Better Crafting tools, Light and Medium Armors

I haven't gotten anywhere at all with Tailor or Weaponsmith crafting yet. I'm furthest along with Metalsmith since I'm making crafting tools for peoples in the kinship. Right now I can make: Farming Tools, Prospecting Tools and Smithing Hammers that have added bonuses (ie: less time spent mining/farming and added critical chance for smithing)

I play WoW off and on... I'm currently not playing.

But I have a Horde set on Farstriders' realm.

Level 80 Troll Hunter - Blynk
Level 69 Death Knight (Tauren) - Dorque (One of my favorite names)
Level 40-something- Tauren Shaman - Seekret (another favorite)

And others 40 and under, Mage, Rogue, Druid, Warrior, Priest.

I don't play much right now, I don't even know if I have an active account. I do have Cataclysm on order, and will start playing again when that comes out... It'll change everything, so I'll be happy to start again.

I started crafting as well. I chose to be a Tinker...

I was not aware that Jewelers created "Runes" though, for Rune Keepers... Idiots.

Anyhow, Tinkers do Jeweling, Prospecting and Cooking...

I haven't gone too far into it, I'm at like 32/200 from where you start. But once I get pretty far I can come up with some nice things.

==========================

Changed vocations to something else! Check the crafting post to find out which.

Indeed! Happy Birthday!

I wanted to get you a present, but I was too busy typing this.

I'm hurt....

That you would be so jealous of my prose...

Or not...  :P

Not sure I can actually do this properly... I really love music.

Dave Matthews Band (Rock/Alt/Pop) Crash, Spoon, I did it, Everyday, Funny the Way It Is
Metallica (Metal... it is part of their name and all) Enter Sandman, Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls
Kings Of Leon (Alt Rock) Sex On Fire, Use Somebody, Knocked Up
Eric Clapton (Blues, Classic Rock) Layla, Cocaine, Tears In Heaven, Change the World
Mr. Bungle (No idea what to call them) Pink Ciggarette, Air Conditioned Nightmare, Ars Moriendi

No order given... I really can't say who I like more, in fact I could throw at least 5 more names up there without hesitation... But they're all on my "often played playlist".

Indeed! Happy Birthday!

I even knew it was coming up today... Not that I'm stalking you in a creepy-guy-hiding-in-bushes kind of way....

-Ahem-

I also thought about getting you a cake... But I'm afraid it wouldn't ship too well... And you know... "It's the thought that counts" and all that  :P

I wish you many good days, with many good friends. Many smiles, and many pleasant dreams. Good fortune and good choices.

Well done mate!

One thing I would advise is to describe a shirt, instead of saying "a tight 'Hard Rock Cafe' t-shirt" try something like this:

"To the right of the front door a short, a stocky man leaned against the wall. Wearing  khaki ((Or any other color))cargo shorts and a shirt stretched tight on him with the words 'Hard Rock Cafe' in bold letters on it he turned to face them as they came out."

I know it's longer of a sentence, but by writing it this way you avoid telling somebody something when you can show them the same thing. In addition you avoid making the assumption that your audience knows what a "Hard Rock Cafe" shirt looks like... Though most everyone does have some idea, I'm sure... The more detail you force feed your readers, the easier it is for them to see what you want them to see, rather than what they assume you mean.

I love it... I'm so happy you made it longer for my sake!  ;D

Haha!

Alright.

I'm in.

Right now (have to go to work) I stopped as a Level 6 Lore-Keeper named Keanan.

I forget where I am though.. It just outside the starting area for an Elf... (the option on the top when creating a character, I think... More details later)

So far so good.

I am curious...

I would like to know what else there is to do in the game aside from fighting?

I get tired of doing the same old thing just running around and beating on things. If there's more to do, I'll give it a go!

Fishing!

P.s. you don't have to greet at the end of every post. We think that is default here at PU :)

Meh... It's habit.

I don't know why though. I'll try to stop.   :D

And I'll give this game a go...

9. When I was a young boy, my mamma said to me
Fulsom Prison by Johnny Cash...

At least it is a line in there, not sure if that's what you were thinking of at the time.

Write each part longer!!

/whine

But seriously, if you could make each portion a bit longer, either by description (preferred) or dialogue, each part would come out very professional. There are a few places in each of these parts that you could through in a bit more of description and enrich the story a bit.

But you already knew what I thought, but I wanted to post it anyways, so hah!

I'm sorry... But I have to say that I'm glad it's confirmed fake...

Pikachu was animated like a rabbit... Looks a lot like the evil bunny from Hoodwinked. The Geodude looked like he was made out of patched leather and not rock... (>.<)

Anyhow, it'd be cool to see one, but hopefully with decent actors =p.

I could write up a script for a Pokemon movie if you guys want... It might be fun.
